Warcraft 2 official box artwork

In a bit of a surprise announcement, Blizzard has now revealed that DRM-free versions of Warcraft 1 and 2 have just become available on GOG. The original Warcraft: Orcs & Humans will set you back $6, while Warcraft 2 costs a little bit more at $10. On the other hand, if you decide to purchase both of them at once, you will be able to grab the whole bundle for $15. Not exactly a massive discount, but it's certainly nothing to scoff at either.

Much like the recent Diablo re-release, you will have two options when launching Warcraft 1 and 2. The first one will offer a variety of improvements that make playing on modern operating systems and resolutions a non-issue, while the second option will give you an entirely authentic experience, including online multiplayer through Blizzard's very own Battle.net service.

Dirt 4 screenshot of a car sliding on an off-road track

Dirt 4 is a rally-themed racing game that forsakes the well-maintained racing tracks in favor of a more off-road experience, with races often taking place in both rough terrain and weather. After being available on Windows and consoles for around two years at this point, Dirt 4 has now finally made its way to Linux and macOS as well!

The new ports have not been made by the original developers, however, but rather by Feral Interactive. They've previously worked on the macOS and Linux versions of games like Total War: Warhammer, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Tomb Raider, so while I haven't tested Dirt 4 myself, chances are it's going to be a pretty competent port.

[Update #2]: Borderlands 2 has just received a hefty new free DLC to help bridge the gap with Borderlands 2!

[Update]: Gearbox has released a brand new preview showing off two of the new playable characters!

If you've been paying attention to rumors this past year or so, then chances are you're already aware that Borderlands 3 is currently under heavy development. While I'm afraid I can't offer you much in terms of new gameplay information, I am glad to say that Gearbox has now finally released an official teaser trailer!

The surprisingly lengthy teaser showcases a variety of returning characters, including Lilith with angel wings and a grown up version of Tiny Tina, as well as a couple of new (and most likely playable) Vault hunters. Have a gander, it's rather interesting video:

Overwatch screenshot of Reaper looking at camera

Throughout Overwatch's history, Reaper has always been a bit of a problematic hero. His entire skillset is designed around the idea of beating up tanks and ambushing players, but given his limited range and rather slow teleport, he was never really good at accomplishing any of that. Blizzard tried to fix this recently by super-buffing Reaper's lifesteal in order to compensate for his short range, but all this did is make Reaper a nightmare in the lower ranks and just as mediocre in the higher ranks.

Clearly a more elegant solution was needed, which is why I'm glad to say that the Overwatch PTR has now been updated with a rather substatal buff to Reaper's Shadow Step ability, as well as Junkrat's weapon. You can find all of the details over at the official website, but here are the most important bits:

Clementine and AJ hiding from a zombie

It has been a wild ride, one filled with both tragedy and outstanding acts of compassion, but soon it will all be over as the very last episode of Telltale's The Walking Dead: The Final Season has now arrived. I can't tell you much about the story, or even give you any sort of summary as it would likely be a massive spoiler, but what I can say is that we will now finally get some closure on Clementine and AJ's story!

If you're willing to indulge your curiosity, however, allow me to share with you the latest trailer for Episode 4: Take Us Back. Have a gander, but do keep in mind that you might encounter spoilers to previous episodes:

Official concept artwork for the Morrowind expansion

The Elder Scrolls series is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary, and in order to get everyone into the festive mood, Bethesda is currently offering a free copy of the truly excellent The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind. You will have to be quick, however, as the offer will only be available throughout March.

As for the whole process, it's a pretty simple one. You'll need to create or log into your Bethesda account over at the official website, after which you'll need to redeem the code TES25TH-MORROWIND to receive your free copy of Morrowind. That's pretty much it!

World of Warcraft two princesses having a staredown

After slowly introducing more and more ridiculous items over the years, Blizzard has now finally decided that the overly restrictive and downright archaic transmog rules are no longer necessary. In other words, you will soon have much greater freedom when it comes to customizing the appearance of your character's armor!

One of the biggest changes coming in with the next patch will be the ability to hide every single item except your pants, so if you're a fan of your Demon Hunter or Lightforged Draenei's tatoos, you will soon have a chance to show them off to the world. And if you simply must run around in your underwear like a maniac, worry not as there are plenty of transmog options that can give you the sort of look you desire.

Apex Legends artwork showing off Bloodhound

If you're like me, then your Apex Legends experience over the past month has been a bit of a bittersweet one. While the game itself is highly enjoyable, it unfortunately suffers from a variety of crashing issues that can occur at pretty much any moment, whether you're just dropping out of the ship or fighting the final squad. There are a ton of home-made fixes for this online, but despite trying my best to sort it all out, I've never managed to get Apex Legends to behave properly.

With that in mind, I am delighted to say that Respawn has now released a patch that is supposed to prevent some of the most common crashes out there. Naturally, there are still some underlying issues the team is yet to identify, but they are confident that they have managed to significantly improve the situation for the majority of the affected players.

If you're looking for an excuse to avoid the lovely weather outside and just play some equally lovely games, you might be interested to hear that GOG is now having a spring sale. The whole thing will last until March 28th, with each brand new day bringing with it a new batch of discounts to some of the most popular games on the platform.

For those of you that are unsure which games to grab, allow me to share some of my favorites, mostly focusing on games that have a decent length to them. Here's the list, in no particular order:

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice screenshot of the grappling hook in use

[Update]: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice's free October update is bringing in boss rush and new outfits.

After being teased for what feels like an eternity at this point, FromSoftware's latest RPG Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has now finally made its way to PC and consoles. While it is definitely inspired by Dark Souls and Bloodborne, Sekiro is a bit of a different beast entirely. It's far more story focused, while the combat itself has been retooled to be noticeably more mobile and aggressive, to the point that you even have a grappling hook to help you navigate the various levels!

If you're wondering what all of this looks like in gameplay terms, as well as what the story is all about, allow me to share with you the recently posted 'overview' trailer. Have a peek, it's quite an informative one:
