Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice screenshot of a battle against the Corrupted Monk

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is set to arrive this March 22nd for both PC and consoles, bringing with it a significantly different experience than FromSoftware's previous RPGs. Besides the story taking on a much bigger role, the combat in Sekiro will be noticeably more mobile and aggressive than even Bloodborne's, to the point that you will actually have a grappling hook to help you move around the environment and attack enemies from unexpected angles!

If you're wondering how all of this translates into gameplay terms, as well as what the story itself is all about, allow me to share with you the recently posted preview. Have a peek, it's a highly informative one:

This shouldn't come as too much of a surprise given how much I've raved about the Soulsborne series, but after watching all of these previews I am really excited to get my hands on Sekiro. It might not have the same Dark Souls formula, but Sekiro is certainly shaping up to be an intriguing RPG, with FromSoftware taking quite a few risks when it comes to spicing up the gameplay.

How exactly all of this will pan out in the end once we all get to actually play it, that is something only time will tell, but thankfully we won't have to wait for too long to find out as Sekiro is just around the corner! So if FromSoftware decides to release more of these types of previews, I'll make sure to let you know, but until then I'm afraid all we can really do is sit and wait for the time being.

And as a final note, allow me to leave you with the recent launch trailer. It's nowhere near as informative as the above-mentioned preview, but it's still an interesting one to check out. Enjoy!
