[Update]: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice's free October update is bringing in boss rush and new outfits.

After being teased for what feels like an eternity at this point, FromSoftware's latest RPG Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has now finally made its way to PC and consoles. While it is definitely inspired by Dark Souls and Bloodborne, Sekiro is a bit of a different beast entirely. It's far more story focused, while the combat itself has been retooled to be noticeably more mobile and aggressive, to the point that you even have a grappling hook to help you navigate the various levels!

If you're wondering what all of this looks like in gameplay terms, as well as what the story is all about, allow me to share with you the recently posted 'overview' trailer. Have a peek, it's quite an informative one:

Despite being a massive fan of FromSoftware I've sadly not had the time to play Sekiro just yet, but I am very glad to say that it has been receiving overwhelmingly positive reviews across the board. There are some technical issues that will need to be ironed out in the upcoming patches, but as far as the gameplay is concerned, it does appear that Sekiro is pretty darn good. Naturally, it is also as hard as nails to master, so if you've never touched Dark Souls or Bloodborne before, you might want to prepare yourself for quite a difficulty curve to overcome!
