Total War: Three Kingdoms official artwork for the A World Betrayed DLC

[Update #2]: A World Betrayed has now arrived alongside a massive free update.

[Update]: Creative Assembly has now detailed everything that's coming with the A World Betrayed update.

It has only been a little while since Total War: Three Kingdoms's massive Mandate of Heaven DLC arrived, and already Creative Assembly has announced a brand new one - A World Betrayed. This time around the action takes place in 194 CE, after the fall of many notable warlords, and deals with the rise of a new generation of rulers and their own attempts at greatness.

In terms of content, A World Betrayed brings with it two new factions led by Lü Bu and Sun Ce, as well as thirteen returning factions to spice things up. Expect to also see unique faction mechanics and missions, new legendary characters and events, and naturally, a couple of new units to toy around with.

Hearts of Iron IV La Résistance official artwork without logo

Despite it releasing quite a few years ago, it appears that Paradox is still not done working on Hearts of Iron IV. I say this because they have just recently launched a brand new and rather sizable expansion - La Résistance.

As the name itself would suggest, La Résistance brings in new focus trees for France that revolve around the underground fight for freedom, as well as the unexpected option to straight up restore the old French Monarchy, should you be so inclined. Espionage has also been added as a way of winning the information war, as well as developing resistance to an opponent's spying and overall influence. Needless to say, expect to be recruiting quite a few spies if you plan for your empire to last!

[Update #2]: The Guns, Love and Tentacles DLC has now arrived, and unfortunately it's a bit on the short side of things.

[Update]: Gearbox has released a ~12 minute preview showing off the very beginning of the Guns, Love and Tentacles DLC.

If you're in the mood for extending your Borderlands 3 playthrough even further, you might be interested to hear that the Guns, Love and Tentacles DLC is set to arrive this March 26th. It brings with it a massive new region to explore, a whole assortment of new loot to peruse and casually discard, as well as a storyline that will feature some old friends from Borderlands 2.

You can get a bit of a better idea of just what Guns, Love and Tentacles DLC has to offer, as well as who the returning characters might be, through the recently posted trailer. Have a gander, it's quite an action-packed one:

The Division 2's Warlords of New York official artwork with logo

I hope you're in the mood for more The Division 2 content as Ubisoft has just launched the Warlords of New York expansion. It brings with it the hurricane-stricken streets of Lower Manhattan as a brand new zone to explore, a whole host of new items and missions, as well as a story campaign that will have you face off against former Division agent Aaron Keener.

Before you get to Keener, however, you will need to first dismantle his network of rogue agents. Each of these will have their own unique storylines and boss fights, as well as a fancy new skill reward once you finally manage to defeat them. And if you're looking for an even greater challenge, it's also worth mentioning that the Dark Zones have been retooled once more in order to better reward player-vs-player behavior.

[Update]: Steam has now greatly improved the process of searching for games through keywords.

While Steam already provides developers with an easy way to list out updates and announcements for their games, all of this information is only really found if you actively select that game in your library or on the storefront. As such, it is entirely possible to miss events, updates and pretty much everything in-between, simply because you never really had a reason to click on the game itself.

In order to address this issue, Valve has now released the rather handy Steam News Hub as an experimental feature. As the name would suggest, the News Hub allows you to easily keep track of any sort of announcements or updates for the games you're interested in, as well as customize just what kind of news you want to see.

Ubisoft's Rainbow Six Siege tends to have free weekends fairly regularly, but if you've somehow managed to miss all of them, you'll be glad to hear a brand new one has arrived. Simply head on over to Steam, download the game, and you'll be running around like a headless chicken in no time!

As always, this free-to-play event is fairly time-limited. In other words, you only have until March 8th to check Rainbow Six Siege out, so do make sure to dive in as soon as possible if you're curious what all of the fuss is about.

[Update #2]: The Enchanter's Lair map has now arrived alongside the very best boss fight in all of Vermintide 2!

[Update]: Enchanter's Lair, the grand finale of the Curse of Drachenfels trilogy, is set to arrive this March 24th.

If you haven't played Vermintide 2 in quite a while, today would be a good time to come back. I say this because Vermintide 2 is currently celebrating its two-year anniversary, and in order to get everyone to join in on the festivities, Fatshark has unleashed the hilarious A Quiet Drink map for a limited time.

As you would imagine from the name alone, A Quiet Drink has our five heroes getting drunk beyond the capacity for rational thought, only to then be ambushed by a whole host of baddies. What follows is a pretty fun little romp across the destroyed city, as well as an extremely large amount of half-coherent ramblings and quips from the Ubersreik Five (or four... it doesn't matter). So if you were ever wondering why the characters tease Saltzpyre about being a steam tank driver, A Quiet Drink should give you all the answers you need!

[Update]: Overwatch Archives 2020 update has now suddenly arrived, bringing with it PvE challenges and some truly amazing new skins.

In an effort to keep Overwatch fresh and interesting, Blizzard recently announced that they will be releasing more frequent balance changes, as well as adding curated hero bans. These Hero Pools will be controlled by Blizzard themselves, and will remove five heroes (one tank, one support and 2 DPS) in Competitive Play for a week or two. The goal, as you might imagine, is to constantly mix up the meta and ensure no strategy gets to remain dominant for too long.

The first batch of hero bans has now arrived alongside the start of Season 21, and for a little while Hanzo, Mei, Orisa and Baptiste will be unavailable in the Competitive Play mode. The DPS picks are good choice for obvious reasons, while the already underplayed Baptiste and Orisa feel like they've been thrown in there just so Blizzard can better judge how this whole system will impact tank and support play as a whole.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night official artwork and logo

[Update #2]: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night update has made the umbrella-wielding vampire Bloodless a playable character.

[Update]: Zangetsu has now made his way to Bloodstained alongside the rather exciting Randomizer game mode.

While Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night ended up delivering on the gameplay front, things haven't exactly been smooth sailing on the Kickstarter side of things. Multiple platforms ended up being cut entirely before launch, while some of the content that was promised either ended up being pushed to some point after release or axed entirely.

The roguelike game mode was one of these promised features, which is why I'm a bit sad to say that it will not be coming. According to the recent developer update, the roguelike gameplay style is simply incompatible with Ritual of the Night's code, especially when it comes to procedurally generating a massive castle.

DuckTales: Remastered official artwork without logo

As is unfortunately the case with quite a few old games, licensing disputes can result in them being pulled from digital storefronts. This is exactly what happened to DuckTales: Remastered back in August of 2019, and while Capcom did drastically reduce the price so everyone gets a chance to enjoy it, the whole situation was still a bit disappointing.

Luckily, this story has a positive ending as Capcom and (I can only assume) Disney have now managed to come to an agreement. As such, DuckTales: Remastered has now once again become available on all of its previous digital storefronts.
