Return to Monkey Island has now arrived alongside some highly positive reviews

It took us more than thirty years to get, but Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge has now received a brand new sequel. The freshly launched Return to Monkey Island is a collaboration between Ron Gilbert's Terrible Toybox and Lucasfilm Games, bringing with it a new art style and feel to the series, while still keeping the same sense of adventure and humor that made the original so popular.
Even though Return to Monkey Island is a direct sequel to the second game in the series, the events of Monkey Island 3 (The Curse of Monkey Island) have not been invalidated and are still considered canon. Not only that, but characters like good ol' Murray also make an appearance in Return to Monkey Island!

[Update #2]: Diablo 4's surprisingly brief yet free Open Beta will be running from March 24-26.
[Update]: Diablo 4 will be launching on June 6th, 2023 with five classes: Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Rogue and Sorceress.
After years of previews showcasing everything from monster design to the monetization plans, it looks like Diablo 4's development is now slowly nearing completion. While the release date is still shrouded in mystery, Blizzard has revealed that they're planning to launch Diablo 4 at some point in 2023.
More importantly, the Diablo 4 has also announced that there will be an endgame focused Closed Beta coming in the near future! Once again there is no release date, but considering the context I'm fully expecting it to arrive in mid-to-late October.
There Is No Light Review - A grim yet highly stylish action-RPG that's well worth exploring

[Update]: There Is No Light's Enhanced Edition has added a whole bunch of new abilities and rebalanced most enemies, thus fixing some of the issues with the slow progression in player power.
In sharp contrast to most action-RPGs that have you start your day with a bit of mundane busywork to help you get acquainted, There Is No Light throws you into the deep end by having you make a deal with the devil and stab an eldritch god in the face within the first few minutes. What follows next is a lengthy adventure that will take you across a world riddled with corruption and teeming with mutated monstrosities, all of which you'll need to single-handedly best in combat while doing whatever you can to keep your soul from descending into darkness. And things only get weirder and weirder from there!
So if you're curious about what There Is No Light's bizarre world has to offer, as well as how the ever-present combat works, allow me to share my thoughts after spending a week slicing and dicing my way through its accursed halls.
Compound Fracture is a dinosaur-fueled survival horror game heavily inspired by Dino Crisis
- By Ash
- in Indie Games
Despite their popularity, and not to mention their qualifications, there's a surprisingly small amount of games starring dinosaurs as the main antagonists. Thankfully, the upcoming survival horror Compound Fracture will be looking to remedy that problem by pitting you against a plethora of prehistoric lizards within the confines of a ruined research facility.
While there will be a variety of guns for you to defend yourself with, ammo will be limited and hard to acquire - something best reserved for only the most desperate of situations. Instead you'll need to focus on outwitting the roaming dinosaurs, escaping conflict whenever possible, and doing whatever you can to hopefully save the hundreds of scientists still trapped inside.
Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection will bring with it online multiplayer for all 10 games

- in News
Much like the Mega Man Legacy Collections that came before it, the upcoming Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection will bring with it an assortment of slightly spruced up Mega Man games. You can expect to see all six mainline Mega Man Battle Network games and their variations, an in-game art gallery filled with official illustrations, long-lost event art and even rough sketches, as well as a high resolution filter that you can turn on or off depending on your preference.
Most importantly of all, Capcom has now announced that they're working on adding online features for all ten games in the Battle Network Legacy Collection! The details are still few and far between, but you can expect to see things like online battles, chip trading and more.
Ion Fury's successor Phantom Fury will be taking the over-the-top action on a road trip across the USA

Instead of being an homage to classic Build Engine games, Ion Fury's successor Phantom Fury is going to be making a massive technological leap forward and basing its over-the-top action on early 2000s FPS games. Needless to say, you can expect to see a whole bunch of vehicles to pilot, environmental puzzles to solve in between bouts of extreme violence, as well as a whole bunch of fun new toys like controllable drones, electrified foam, and the always handy armor-piercing shotguns.
In terms of setting, Phantom Fury will take place many years after the original and will have you smash through hordes of cyborgs and mutants on a road trip across the USA. Each level will feature a great deal of interactivity, as well as the option to creatively circumvent many of the trickier sections, so in theory there should be a fair bit of replay value.
Yakuza studio's action-adventure Judgment and its sequel have now suddenly landed onto PC

In an announcement that was accompanied by surprisingly little fanfare, Sega has now unleashed The Judgment Collection onto PC. The collection brings with it the original action-adventure Judgement, its sequel Lost Judgement, as well as the sequel's story-focused expansion The Kaito Files.
The whole package will set you back ~99€ thanks to a 24% discount, while individually Judgement is 40€, Lost Judgement 60€ and The Kaito Files expansion 30€. Needless to say the whole collection is a bit pricey, but if you're a fan of the Yakuza studio's rather iconic blend of gameplay, storytelling and humor, it might just be worth the trouble.
