FromSoftware's Next Title Will Be Available Cross Platform, But Also On PlayStation VR

It was known for quite a while now that Dark Souls 3 would mark the end of the Dark Souls franchise and that FromSoftware are already working on a brand new game, though it was and still remains unknown if its going to be a new IP, or a resurrection of one of their older series.
The reason I'm bringing this up now is because a recruitment video got 'leaked' on Youtube recently, and it quite clearly shows that FromSoftware's new game is coming in 2017 to PC, Xbox One, PS4, and most interestingly, PlayStation VR! Here's the video, and you will find the relevant information near the end:
Long War Studios Is Making More XCOM 2 Mods
- By Ash
- in News
Long War Studios, creators of the much acclaimed Long War mod for XCOM: Enemy Unknown, have joined forces with Firaxis once again in an effort to create 5 new mods for XCOM 2, none of which appear to be a Long War equivalent, much to my disappointment.
The first of the five planned mods has released today for free, and it features a bunch of new options with which you can tweak your playthrough, things such as messing around with the damage variation of weapons, squad size, soldier stats, and so forth. Beyond that you can look forward to new aliens, perks, and naturally, a whole bunch of new weapons to toy around with.
Total War: Warhammer Is Crossing Over Into The Dota 2 Universe

- in News
In a rather brilliant marketing move the team behind Total War: Warhammer has announced a Dota 2 competition that challenges the talented community hat-makers with the creation of 'Warhammer Fantasy Battles' themed goodies.
The best entries will be bundled in a treasure chest that will become available for purchase on September 1st, with a special (and free) version of the chest going out to everyone who pre-purchases Total War: Warhammer on Steam. This special version will contain visually-unique and pre-order exclusive variants of Warhammer themed items, or in other words, plenty of new hats to brag with.
Blizzard Has Agreed To Meet With The Nostalrius Team

Blizzard's official comment on the whole Nostalrius/legacy server issue was rather disappointing, especially since their best-case solution involved taking pretty much the same problems people are complaining about, and then stretching them out in a halfhearted effort of emulating how things worked in vanilla.
There is a dash of hope, however, as Blizzard has agreed to meet with the Nostalrius team, as we've recently learned from Mark Kern - the ex vanilla WoW Team Lead who personally printed out the entire 200,000+ signatures petition and sent it to Mike Morhaime, CEO of Blizzard, and his former boss. As with all things these days, the announcement came in the form of a brief tweet:
The Turn-Based Strategy/Card Game Hybrid 'Duelyst' Has Now Officially Launched

[Update]: Unfortunately, Duelyst will be closing down its doors on February 27, 2020.
Ever since Magic the Gathering devoured all of my lunch money so many years ago I've been in love with collectible card games, mostly because they represent the purest form of competition, just two people striving to achieve victory through strategy, treachery, and the slightest touch of luck.
While Duelyst might not be a pure card game given that it heavily features turn-based strategy elements, it still embodies all of the same principles and gameplay ideas that make collectible card games the incredibly attractive plague upon ones wallet, and I mean that in a nice way. But enough of me yammering, here's a gameplay trailer so you can get a glimpse of what Duelyst is all about:

Only a month has passed since the last big Prison Architect update, and the developers are already back with a brand new patch for everyone to enjoy, this time around focusing on performance improvements, weather and seasons, and some important quality of life changes.
If you're interested in seeing all of the changes in action and explained by the developers themselves you will find the video below, but if you're not up for watching two guys goof around for 40 minutes (which you definitely should) I'll also include a brief summary:
Planetside 2 Has Received Base Building, Resource Gathering, And A Continent Rework
- By Ash
- in News
I've played Planetside 2 with a zealous fervor during its initial few months, constantly riding around in my Magrider, shooting all of the uncivilized mongrels trying to take over my continent, and having a whole bunch of fun in the process. Unfortunately, as the months rolled on the only updates Planetside 2 ever received were either terribly thought-out balance changes or cash shop items, and so it slowly bled population until it became a shell of its former self.
Thankfully, with massive changes to the internal structure of Daybreak Games and the layoff of some of its old 'big shots' Planetside 2 once again started receiving the attention it deserves. The prime example of this is the most recent update that added a new vehicle and resource gathering, a base-building system, a large rework of the Indar continent, and a whole bunch of balance changes.
Here's a brief overview of what to expect:
