If you're a fan of heroes that don't just rely on overwhelming damage or constant stuns you'll be glad to hear that Probius will soon be joining the Heroes of the Storm roster. While he does come with a couple of damaging abilities, most of his power comes through the combination of Pylons and Photon Cannons - buildings that take a bit of time to set up. In other words, I hope you've been brushing up on your positioning and timing skills, because that's exactly what Probius is all about!
For those of you wondering what all of this might look like in gameplay terms, here's the recently poster spotlight video that goes over all of the skills and ultimates, as well as their potential applications. Have a look:
Bioware has released a Mass Effect: Andromeda video that briefly goes over all the "golden worlds" we'll get to visit
- By Ash
- in News
During the most recent "Discovery & Exploration" video one of the developers mentioned that Mass Effect: Andromeda will have less planets to explore than the previous games, but that they will be much more detailed than ever before. While the following hasn't been confirmed just yet, it appears there will be seven main planets for us to roam around in, the so called "golden worlds" that are capable of supporting colonists. Chances are there will be more planets out there, but I think its a safe bet to say that these seven will represent the majority of our playtime in Andromeda.
If you're wondering what these golden worlds might look like you'll find the recently posted video down below. And don't worry about spoilers as the video only covers the most basic information and lore, so feel free to indulge your curiosity! Anyway, have a look:
The alchemy and exploration focused JRPG Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey has now arrived on Steam

Besides being way too long for a simple title, Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey is a cheerful JRPG focused around exploration and alchemy that has just now arrived on Steam. Expect to spend a lot of time roaming the world looking for ingredients, messing around with the surprisingly complex alchemy system, and also beating the ever-living daylight out of any monsters and abominations that might stand in the way of scientific progress.
If you're wondering what all of this looks like, you can find the recently posted launch trailer down below. It doesn't feature any actual gameplay, but it should give you a good idea of what sort of JRPG you're getting into. Have a gander:
Dawn of War 3's release date has been revealed alongside a trailer for pre-order cosmetics
- By Ash
- in News
Dawn of War 3 is an upcoming real-time strategy game set in the grim darkness of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. After being pinned for a rather nebulous "sometime in 2017" release, Relic has now finally come out to reveal that Dawn of War 3 will be ready for glorious combat on April 27th.
And in order to celebrate this announcement they have also released a trailer for everyone's favorite part of any AAA game - the pre-order DLC. Thankfully all of pre-order DLC is cosmetic fluff, so if you decide to do the smart thing and wait for reviews you will not miss anything of any real importance. But if you're interested in what these cosmetics look like, here's the trailer:
You can grab The Witness for $12 via the current Humble Monthly bundle
- By Ash
- in News
Humble has really been knocking it out of the park with these past few Humble Monthly bundles. First it was XCOM 2, then Total War: Warhammer, and now you can grab The Witness for a rather low $12. As an added bonus you will also get a bunch of other games at the beginning of the next month, but I wouldn't rely on those being anything special given how the past few months have been a bit hit or miss with the bonus games.
So if you're up for potentially ruining your brain while trying to figure out everything The Witness has to offer, you can grab it for $12 by heading to the Humble Bundle website. Just keep in mind that this is a subscription service, so if you're only grabbing this bundle for The Witness make sure to unsubscribe as soon as you get the bonus games. And don't worry about being charged twice as payments for the next month are only taken around the 15th, so you have plenty of time to decide whether you're willing to go for a second month.
The viking themed strategy game Northgard will soon be getting a fourth clan - Raven
- By Ash
- in News
[Update]: Clan Raven has now arrived to Northgard alongside a rather amazing patch that fixed up most of the technical issues.
Northgard is a viking themed real-time strategy game from the makers of Evoland. While this is an overly simplistic comparison, you can imagine it as a more action orientated take on the Civilization formula. What I mean by this is that Northgard shares a similar focus on city-building, resource management, and open-ended playstyles that allow you to take your clan in whichever direction you wish.
And if that direction happens to be pointing towards the sea, you're in luck as the upcoming Raven clan is composed out of great explorers and merchants. The Raven clan starts with the Trading Lore automatically researched, and the generic Seaferer's Hall replaced with the Harbor from which you can launch vast amounts of angry vikings to pester all of your neighbors. And as an added bonus the Raven clan will also be able to pay for colonization with gold, which should allow them to expand at quite the rapid pace.

Pamela is an open-world survival horror game set within the once utopian city of Eden, now nothing more than a breeding ground for otherworldly monstrosities. In order to survive you will need to learn how to utilize a wide array of high-tech weaponry and equipment, build temporary shelters and carefully manage the city's dwindling power supply, and hopefully figure out a way to get the hell out of there.
If you're wondering what all of this might look like in gameplay terms, you'll find the recently posted trailer down below. But before you do, just bear in mind that Pamela is a singleplayer-only game, despite it seemingly having many elements in common with a wide variety of survival games out there. Anyway, here's the video:
