An HD remake of the classic 3D platformer TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue is coming to Steam
- By Ash
- in News
The HD remake for the original TY the Tasmanian Tiger released from Early Access in December, and apparently it was so damn good it still holds a 99% approval rating on Steam with over a thousand reviews! Given its success it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue is going to be getting the very same treatment.
There is no release date set just yet, but what I can tell you is that TY 2 will follow in the original's footsteps by first launching in Early Access. The very first Early Access build should be 100% playable, although it will be there for a couple of months in order to fix all of the issues, improve the art, and give the developers some time to figure out what kind of features the community wants out of the game (achievements and the like).
Paradox has announced the first major gameplay expansion for Stellaris - Utopia

Following up on the success of the Leviathans Story Pack Paradox has just announced the first major gameplay expansion for Stellaris - Utopia. It will bring with it numerous new options for developing your empire, including new types of space stations and buildings that open alternative routes towards becoming the dominant force in the galaxy. As your species advances and grows in power you'll also be able to choose how to further pursue enlightenment: by following the biological path, the psionic path, the synthetic path, or perhaps a mixture of all three.
Since all of this is fairly complex stuff with far-reaching implications for gameplay Paradox has taken the time to release a trailer detailing all of the new features... by which I mean they've released 20 seconds of random footage that means absolutely nothing. It is pretty to look at, if nothing else! Have a gander:

After Zarya and Tracer it appears that Lucio will be the next Overwatch hero to join the ever-growing Heroes of the Storm roster. As you might expect, Lucio will bring with him pretty much all of the abilities that make him so amazing in Overwatch, and this includes the endlessly amusing ability to wall-ride!
If you're wondering what the Brazilian DJ might look like in Heroes of the Storm, here's the recently posted teaser trailer. Its a bit short on actual gameplay, but its enough to show that this is indeed the Lucio we know and love! Anyway, here's the video:
For Honor's ranked play is coming later this year, Season Pass content has been detailed

If you were hoping to engage in some thrilling competitive action in For Honor, I'm afraid I bring some bad news. According to Ubisoft's most recent announcement, For Honor will only be getting ranked play later this year, and until then you'll have to deal with the standard matchmaking.
Ubisoft also revealed the details of the For Honor Season Pass, the most important of which is the inclusion of six new heroes and fancy new outfits with which you can customize them. Besides the six heroes that will be released over the coming months, the Season Pass will also bring with it exclusive emblems, a bunch of crates with in-game gear, a sunbeam effect for all of your emotes, as well as a 30-day XP booster that affects everything from crafting to end-of-match loot.
The colorful multiplayer shooter Battlecrew Space Pirates has now arrived to Steam Early Access

Battlecrew Space Pirates is a colorful multiplayer shooter from Dontnod 11, a second studio opened by the team behind Life is Strange and the upcoming RPG Vampyr. As you might imagine by its rather... extravagant name, Battlecrew Space Pirates is heavily focused around cheesy humor and completely over-the-top action.
If you're wondering what all of this madness might look like in action, here's the recently posted launch trailer. As is tradition with launch trailers there isn't much straight-up gameplay in there, but it should still give you a good idea of what to expect from Battlecrew Space Pirates. Anyway, here's the video:
You can grab Total War: Warhammer for $12 as a part of the Humble Monthly bundle

While I was initially skeptical about the whole Humble Monthly bundle concept, I must say that this year's offerings have made me quite the believer. I mean, spending $12 for XCOM 2, Ryse: Son of Rome, Steamworld Heist, ABZU, Okhlos Omega, Project Highrise, and Husk is quite the steal... especially when you consider that this is the cheapest XCOM 2 has ever been!
But if you've managed to miss the January bundle, worry not as the February bundle is shaping up to be equally as amazing. By heading over to the Humble Bundle website you can grab Total War: Warhammer for an astonishingly low $12 (by far and wide the cheapest it has ever been) and play it right away! And as an added bonus, you'll also get a whole bunch of mystery games in early March to round up your collection.
