The hellish survival-horror game Agony now has a rather lengthy new gameplay trailer

By Ash

Agony is an upcoming survival-horror game set in one of the most fitting locations for the genre - an extremely twisted version of hell that greatly reminds me of Warhammer 40,000's Warp. Given the rather... unique circumstances you won't be punching trees and hunting animals in order to survive through Agony. Instead you will need to sneak around hell itself, posses lesser demons in order to bypass obstacles and potential foes, and somehow try to keep your sanity intact despite all of the madness that constantly swirls around you.

If you're wondering what this might look like in gameplay terms, wonder no more as the developers have recently posted a rather lengthy gameplay video. Its about as confusing and twisted as you would expect, but it should give you a good idea of what you're getting into with Agony. Have a look:

Overwatch's upcoming Horizon Lunar Colony map will be locked away from Competitive Play for a week

[Update 2]: The Horizon Lunar Colony map and its accompanying balance changes have now arrived to the live servers. The Roadhog nerfs have not been reverted.

[Update 1]: Turns out Horizon Lunar Colony will be a part of the competitive rotation from the moment it releases. I'd highly recommend avoiding competitive play for a few days after it arrives as its going to be an absolute mess. Its a real shame that after a year of Overwatch Blizzard is still making these basic mistakes.

When Blizzard first introduced Eichenwalde things didn't go exactly as planned, and that is putting it lightly. Not only did the map have some unfortunate bugs, but it was also completely new to the vast majority of the competitive playerbase. In other words, every time Eichenwalde would pop up in the competitive queue you would have 12 players running around like headless chickens, desperately trying to figure out a map they've only just seen for the first time.

Thankfully, this sort of madness will not be the case for the upcoming Horizon Lunar Colony. As announced by Overwatch's Bill Warnecke, the Horizon Lunar Colony map will remain locked away from Competitive Play for a week. This, combined with its appearance as a brand new Arcade 'game mode', should be enough to get everyone on the same page before Competitive Play gets launched to the Moon.

Pepper Grinder is a newly announced action platformer with rather unique movement mechanics

Pepper Grinder game screenshot of a boss fight against a giant beetle

As far as gameplay mechanics are concerned Pepper Grinder might just be one of the most unique action-platformers I've seen in quite a while. Instead of simply running around and slicing things up with a sword, in Pepper Grinder most of your movement will be done by tunneling straight through the world, while all of the combat will done via the business end of a massive drill!

Since all of this sounds like one giant gimmick and not something you would actually have fun with for long, allow me to show you the recently posted alpha trailer. It will give you an excellent idea of what Pepper Grinder is all about, and how exactly the whole "tunneling through the world" thing works. Have a look:

If you're wondering what all of this might look like in-game, wonder no more as the developers have just released the launch trailer. It doesn't feature much in terms of straight-up gameplay, but it will give you a good idea of what to expect from The Crimson Court. Have a look:

My review and thoughts on Gwent's Open Beta and its giant leap towards a brighter future

Gwent artwork featuring Geralt and Ciri playing a match

Gwent has undergone a massive transformation from a simple mini-game in The Witcher 3 to a fully standalone game, but all of that pales in comparison to the amount of changes that happened between the Closed and Open Beta. All of the factions have been redesigned, all of the cards rebalanced, and most of the special effects have been changed in order to promote a wider variety of playstyles.

So if you're wondering what exactly is the current state of Gwent in regards to balance, the free-to-play experience, and the overall enjoyment one gets from playing a match, allow me to give you my thoughts after spending about 30 hours with the Open Beta. Without spoiling too much, let's just say that it has been a giant leap in the right direction, and one that will most likely lead to a very bright future for Gwent.

After being available on mobile platforms for quite a while now, Obsidian's card game and RPG hybrid Pathfinder Adventures has made its way to the PC as well. As you might expect given its influence Pathfinder Adventures is all about developing your party, acquiring loot, and beating the ever-living daylight out of anything or anyone that dares stand between you and your shinies.

On first glance it might seems like Pathfinder Adventures is yet another card game designed to compete with Hearthstone, but in reality its more of a standard RPG spiced up with card game mechanics. If you're wondering how exactly this might look like in gameplay terms, here's an extremely lengthy tutorial and Q&A video from Obsidian themselves. It should give you a pretty damn good idea of what sort of game you're getting yourself into:

The Elder Scrolls: Legends is Bethesda's digital card game that has slowly but surely managed to carve its own niche among extremely heavy competition. After finally being released on Steam two weeks ago The Elder Scrolls: Legends is preparing for yet another massive event - the upcoming release of the Heroes of Skyrim expansion.

As you might expect from a card game expansion, Heroes of Skyrim will bring with it 150 new cards filled with brand new mechanics, powerful abilities, and perhaps most interestingly of all, some of the most iconic shouts and companions from Skyrim itself. So if you ever wanted to constantly shout at your opponent throughout the match, well... soon you'll be able to do just that!
