Snake Pass Noodle and Doodle artwork

Snake Pass is a retro collectathon where instead of the usual jumping about you need to coil around bamboo, slither alongside walls, dangle over precarious cliffs, and do pretty much everything else you might imagine an adorable cartoon snake doing. When I reviewed Snake Pass back in April I had an absolute blast with it, though there were a couple of annoying bugs that prevented it from being truly great. Most notably, it was the inconsistent camera and tail grab ability that nearly drove me to madness given how important they are in some of the later (and extremely difficult) levels.

Thankfully, the latest update has now finally fixed these issues, along with a couple of others that have plagued the console versions of Snake Pass. If you're interested in all of the details you will find the full patch notes over at the official website, but for now here are some of the most important general changes:

TAIL GRAB: fixed a bug where Tail Grab was unreliable

TAIL GRAB: fixed an issue where Noodle would move faster than intended while Doodle was holding his tail

• CAMERA: fixed an issue where the camera did not move as fast as intended

LEVEL 9: fixed an issue where the camera would not move for some players making the level unplayable

LEVEL 11: fixed an issue where the ball would activate incorrectly for some players

As you can see this is not a massive list of changes, but it is exactly what Snake Pass needed in order to iron out some of its flaws. So if you're up for a surprisingly enjoyable collecathon and wish to learn more, I would recommend heading over to either Steam or the official website. Have fun!
