Guild Wars 2's much-anticipated Path of Fire expansion has now arrived, bringing with it a whole bunch of new content and quality of life changes. We can now explore the vast regions of the Crystal Desert and the adjoining kingdom of Elona, beat down the Human god of war Balthazar and his metallic minions, test out nine new Elite Specializations, and most excitingly of all, ride around on a variety of mounts that each come with their own unique abilities and effects.
You can get a good peek at what all of this looks like in-game through the recently posted launch trailer down below. Its not the most detailed video, I'm afraid, but it should still give you a good idea of what Path of Fire is all about. Have a gander:
Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus now has a new trailer showing off both story and over-the-top action

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus will be sending us to Nazi-controlled America in order to exactly what you might expect: obliterate everything with an arsenal of increasingly over-the-top weaponry. What you might not expect, however, is that The New Colossus will also have a heavy focus on storytelling and character development.
If you're wondering what this story is all about, and how large of an explosion you can cause in the least amount of time, you'll find what you seek in the recently posted gameplay trailer. Have a look, its quite a spectacle to behold:
SteamWorld Dig 2 is a Metroidvania inspired action-platformer with copious amounts of mining

SteamWorld Dig 2 is a Metroidvania action-platformer with a bit of a twist. Instead of simply running around and beating down every single indigenous lifeform you encounter, in SteamWorld Dig 2 you are able to tunnel your way through certain portions of the world in order to create new pathways, shortcuts, or routes to secret treasures. Just make sure not to dig straight down as you might not live long enough to regret falling straight into lava!
You can get a good glimpse at what all of this looks like in-game through the recently posted launch trailer down below. Have a look, its not a very long video:
Synthetic Dawn, a machine-focused story pack for Stellaris, has now arrived
- By Ash
- in News
As you might imagine from the name alone, the Synthetic Dawn story pack is entirely focused on the various robotic factions. It allows you to fully customize your robotic civilization and follow a new chain of story events to transform your mechanical race into an intergalactic AI dominion, oppressed synths can now rebel against their masters and form new empires, and there's even a fallen synthetic civilization just waiting to be discovered in the cold depths of space.
If you're interested in seeing what all of this might look like in game, you'll find the recently posted launch trailer right below. Its not very long, but it should give you a pretty damn good idea of what to expect from Synthetic Dawn. Have a look:
Outlast and its DLC are free to grab for the next 24 hours on Humble Bundle

The Humble Store is currently holding an End of Summer Sale, and in order to get a few more eyes onto the storefront they are now giving away the horror game Outlast and its DLC. This offer will only last for another 25 hours, so I would recommend you go and grab Outlast as soon as possible. You don't even need to install it, once its in your Steam account you will own it forever.
If you're wondering whether Outlast is even worth your time, however, I would say that it depends on whether you're a fan of horror games or not. From a purely gameplay standpoint its a bit repetitive as all you really do is run away, but that is easily counteracted by a great atmosphere and some pants-wettingly terrifying scenes. So if you're looking for a survival horror game where you blast away hordes of zombies with a giant shotgun, I'm afraid you won't find that here, but if you're into slow, brooding horror then Outlast is definitely worth playing.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 devs have released a tutorial for the DnD inspired Game Master mode
- By Ash
- in News
Besides being a pretty damn good game, Divinity: Original Sin 2 has one very important feature that sets it apart from the rest of the genre - a DnD inspired Game Master mode! As you might imagine from its name alone, Game Master mode allows you to create and run your very own campaigns, as well as modify them on the go to better tailor the story to your players. Its a little bit complex, but well worth the trouble.
If you would like to see the Game Master mode in action, or learn how to mess around with all of the available tools, I would recommend you check out the recently posted developer tutorial. The video is fairly lengthy, but thankfully very little of it is pointless fluff. Have a look, its quite interesting:
Project Nimbus is an anime-inspired mecha shoot 'em up set in a post-apocalyptic world
- By Ash
- in Indie Games
Project Nimbus is a fast-paced mech action/shooter game that draws heavy inspiration from anime series like Gundam. What this means in gameplay terms is that you will pilot giant mechs with a ridiculous array of weapons and missiles, battle against even larger opponents or swarms of smaller ones, and naturally, team up with other pilots in order to unleash even greater devastation.
Since Project Nimbus is an anime-inspired game its only fitting that its most recent trailer is completely over-the-top and cheesy to the point of ridiculousness. Have a look, its quite interesting despite the somewhat meek voice acting:
