Hob is an exploration-focused action-adventure that will have you solve a variety of puzzles in between beating up all of the indigenous life forms with your giant robo-fist. There are also some minor Metroidvenia elements present throughout Hob, so as you progress further into the world you'll be able to unlock new areas or just open up hidden pathways in previous ones. All of this is done through the rather ominously sounding World Machine that lies just beneath the surface of the planet, though what exactly it is I'm afraid you'll have to find out for yourself.

If you would like a bit of a sneak peek, however, you'll find the recently posted launch trailer right below. Its not overly long, but it should give you a pretty good idea of what Hob is all about, and more importantly, how it plays. Have a look:

I haven't had the time to play it myself so take the following with a few grains of salt, but according to the Steam user reviews Hob appears to be a rather charming and enjoyable game. That said, there do seem to be some issues with performance and crashes, even on modern PCs. I couldn't find many mentions of it so it doesn't look like its a widespread problem, but you might still want to wait for a day or two just to see if these wrinkles get ironed out.

If you would like to learn more about Hob, or just check out some of the gameplay videos, I'd recommend heading over to either Steam or the official website. And finally, allow me to send you off with a couple of colorful images:
