Battlerite is the spiritual successor to Bloodline Champions, and much like its predecessor its a highly competitive brawler with a wide variety of unique characters to choose from. Most importantly, there is absolutely no randomness present in any aspect of gameplay, so all that matters is personal skill and the ability to cooperate with your teammates.

If this sounds like the type of PvP game you would love to sink your teeth into, you'll be glad to hear that Battlerite is completely free to try out on Steam until Monday, October 1st. And if you end up liking what you see, you'll also be glad to hear that Battlerite will be on a 50% discount until October 2nd. In other words, don't feel rushed to make a purchase. You'll have an entire day to ponder over your decision after the free weekend ends.

For those of you that don't know much about Bloodline Champions or Battlerite itself, you can find my detailed (albeit slightly outdated) review by heading over here. Long story short: "Battlerite has decided to undertake the rather difficult task of emulating Bloodline Champions, and much to my surprise it has managed to not only replicate the gameplay, but also improve it through a variety of small tweaks! The combat is fast paced and most definitely enjoyable, the characters are just as deep and complex as they ever were, and top it all off, Early Access isn't being used in order to peddle a half-finished product given that Battlerite feels nearly done outside of its menus."
