Don't Starve is getting a massive singleplayer expansion full of aristocratic Pigmen - The Hamlet

Don't Starve: Hamlet artwork featuring one of the aristocratic pigmen

Don't Starve might be a fairly ancient game by this point, but Klei Entertainment aren't showing any signs of slowing down when it comes to new content. The most recent Shipwrecked expansion will soon be getting a whole bunch of new features and items, Don't Starve Together will be getting difficult and time-limited events, and if that wasn't enough, there is also a massive new expansion on the horizon - Hamlet!

The details are still a bit shaky, but what I can tell you is that this singleplayer DLC will add a variety of new jungle biomes, as well as a long lost city of aristocratic Pigmen. Expect to see a ton of new items, ancient Pigmen ruins full of treasure and most likely curses, and naturally, a whole bunch of new and extremely dangerous enemies to constantly run away from. You can get a brief glimpse at what all of this looks like via the recently posted teaser trailer down below, though I'm afraid there isn't any actual gameplay footage:

The Stardock themed Humble Bundle has now arrived with a whole bunch of strategy games

If you hate free time and love to have an abnormal sleep schedule, you'll be glad to hear that the Stardock themed Humble Bundle has now arrived. As you might imagine given Stardock's involvement, the bundle is filled to the brim with all sorts of strategy and management games, everything from the excellent Sins of Solar Empire: Rebellion to the somewhat flawed Offworld Trading Company.

The bundle features a couple of games less than what is considered 'standard' at this point, but given their length and replayability I don't think that's going to be too big of a deal. And speaking of the games, here's the full list of them, as well as the tier they appear in:

As is tradition with pretty much every major Overwatch update, the arrival date for the upcoming Halloween Terror event was leaked multiple times. Even so, I am very happy to say that Blizzard has now officially confirmed that the second annual Halloween event will be coming on October 10th!

While the details are still shrouded in mystery, you can expect to see all of the previous Halloween items make a return at a discounted price, but also a whole bunch of new items including the Vampire Reaper and Vampire Hunter McCree. Furthermore, if the recent datamining is to be believed there will also be new items for Ana, Hanzo, Genji, and D.Va, though what exactly those items are, I'm afraid nobody outside of Blizzard knows right now.

Battle Chasers: Nightwar, despite sounding like one of the most generic games in all of existence, is a rather intriguing turn-based RPG inspired by oldschool console classics. As you might imagine given the genre, you'll spend a lot of your time wondering through dungeons filled with traps, puzzles and loot, building and advancing your very own adventuring party, and naturally, following what appears to be a rich and detailed story.

While the recently posted animated intro wont really tell you much about the gameplay, I would still recommend you give it a glance as it offers a pretty damn good look at the styles and themes Battle Chasers: Nightwar is going for. Have a look, its a rather visually interesting video:

Fortnite's Battle Royale game mode has now gone free-to-play on PC and consoles

Despite its Steam reviews going up and down like a yo-yo, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is one of the most popular PC games out there, so popular in fact that it has twice the playerbase of both CS:GO and Dota 2! Given these rather ridiculous stats it was only a matter of time before competition started appearing, so it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that Epic has now added a Battle Royale mode to their action-building game Fortnite.

What might come as a bit of a surprise, however, is the simple fact that Fortnite's Battle Royale game mode is free-to-play! So if you ever wanted to give the genre a try, but you didn't feel like buying into an Early Access game to do so, you now have a chance to see what its all about. Simply head over to the official website and you'll find links to both the PC and console versions of the Battle Royale game mode.

Resident Evil 7's free "Not a Hero" DLC official artwork

After being delayed due to quality concerns, Resident Evil 7's "Not a Hero" DLC will be coming this December 12th alongside the Gold Edition. Most importantly, it will be entirely free for all owners of the game, regardless of edition or time of purchase!

As for the content, Not a Hero will take place after the events of Resident Evil 7 and will follow the boulder-punching Chris Redfield as he blasts apart hordes upon hordes of mutated monstrosities. We'll be able to explore both new and familiar locations, fight against a variety of new and previously unseen enemies, and naturally, try to solve yet another mysterious outbreak in the middle of nowhere!

Total War: Warhammer 2's Steam Workshop support will be going live on Thursday

If you've ever gotten invested into a Total War game you probably know just how important mods are in keeping the whole experience fresh and interesting. With mods you can add new units, new starting positions, new factions, a complete balance overhaul, a variety of new battle maps so you're not just fighting in an open field every time, and the list goes on for a while. There really is a mod for everything, no matter how obscure and potentially silly the idea might be.

In order to detect potential flaws and balance problems Total War: Warhammer 2 sadly launched without Steam Workshop support, though thankfully it still allowed players to plug in their mods manually. However, that whole process requires actually finding the mods in the first place, which is not always the easiest thing for new players. As such, I am very glad to say that Steam Workshop support will be going online this Thursday!
