Sixteen years have gone by since the original Psychonauts, and six years since its big announcement, but Psychonauts 2 has now finally been unleashed onto both PC and consoles. Much like the original from which it draws a great deal of inspiration, Psychonauts 2 is a quirky platformer that's all about exploring the bizarre, touching and often hilarious nonsense that occurs within the minds of everyday people.

As for its quality, I'm happy to say that the old "good things come to those that wait" proverb applies to Psychonauts 2 as well. I've only put in about an hour so far so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but Psychonauts 2 is already looking like a worthy successor to the original.

Double Fine spent a great deal of time on it, and while it may be occasionally janky, the effort and care they poured into it definitely shows. So if you don't mind the rather spicy price tag, I'd say that Psychonauts 2 is well worth checking out.

But whatever your decision may be, I'd highly recommend hopping over to Steam and reading a little bit more about it. Enjoy!
