Epic's action-building game Fortnite recently added a Battle Royale game mode in response to the ever-growing popularity of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. Since Epic tried to get the free Battle Royale game mode out into the public's hands as soon as possible there were some noticeable features missing, most importantly the ability to play with friends!

As such, I am glad to say that Fornite's latest update has now added Duos, as well as Supply Drops that come packed with a ton of awesome weapons for those brave enough to grab them. And speaking of weapons, there will be some massive changes going forward, mostly in terms of weapon handling and accuracy.

The goal behind these upcoming changes will be to better differentiate the various weapons. Assault Rifles and Snipers should be the kings of long range fighting, while SMGs and Pistols should be the most effective up close, something that hasn't really been the case so far. Furthermore, Epic is currently experimenting with enabling projectiles for all weapons (not just Snipers), which should go a long way towards making each of them just a bit more interesting to use. Nothing has been confirmed just yet, but according to Epic the concept does indeed shows promise.

If you would like to learn more about these upcoming changes I would recommend you head over to the official website. Just keep in mind that all of this is pure theory right now, and as such there is absolutely no guarantee that any of the changes mentioned will make it to the live version in the same form. They're probably going to be quite similar given that the ideas Epic presented are quite good, but even so I would suggest not getting attached to any specific change.
