FromSoftware have released an exciting new in-game trailer for their Dark Souls followup Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
- By Ash
- in News
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will be coming this March 22nd for both PC and consoles. Given that this is FromSoftware we're talking about, you can expect to see numerous Bloodborne and Dark Souls elements make a reappearance, things such as the "challenging but fair" difficulty and gigantic 'levels filled with secrets. That said, Sekiro will have a much greater focus on action and mobility than either of its predecessors, something that is perhaps best exemplified through the fact that we will have a grappling hook to toy around with!
So if you're wondering what Sekiro looks like, and what exactly the combat is all about, allow me to share the recently posted trailer. I can't say it's the most detailed video around, but it sure is an exciting one for a Souls fan like myself! Have a gander:

Battlefield 5 was supposed to arrive this October 19th for PC and consoles, but according to the latest blog post it has now been delayed in order to ensure it's as polished as it can be. You won't have to wait for too much longer, however, as Battlefield 5's new release date has been pinned on November 20th.
"We’re going to take the time to continue to make some final adjustments to core gameplay, and to ensure we really deliver on the potential of Tides of War," reads the developer update. "We know moving the launch date means that we all have to wait a little longer. But we’re going to take our time to make sure we get it right."

Riot has announced that League of Legends will be getting a rather sizable update this September 12th. Patch 8.18 will bring in a brand new PvE mission by the name of Odyssey: Extraction, as well as a variety of cosmetics including epic skins for Jinxy, Yasuo, Sona, Malphite and Ziggs. There will also be a legendary skin for Kayn, new ward skins, emotes and the list goes on.
If you're wondering what exactly these skins will look like, as well as what the whole Odyssey event will be about, allow me to share with you the recently posted cinematic trailer. It's a pretty darn good one, so I highly recommend you check it out:
Vermintide 2 devs will soon be adding more ways to obtain the Shadows Over Bogenhafen cosmetic items

- in News
Vermintide 2's very first DLC "Shadows Over Bogenhafen" arrived a little while ago, bringing with it two new and massive maps to explore, an absolute ton of balance changes, as well as a variety of new cosmetics to collect. While all of these are highly welcome features, there is one rather significant problem - obtaining the new cosmetics is a needlessly lengthy and extremely grindy process.
Thankfully, this won't be the case for long as Fatshark has now announced that they will not only be reducing the requirements for each weekly quest, but that they will also be introducing two new weekly quests to spice things up. The exact details are still unknown, but what I can tell you is that the "win 25 Quickplay games" quest will be dropping down to a much more reasonable 10 games.
World of Warcraft devs have announced the first round of class balance changes for Battle for Azeroth

A few weeks have passed since the Battle for Azeroth expansion launched, and with the Uldir raid and Mythic Keystone dungeons now fully available, it is the perfect time for Blizzard to start issuing some much-needed balance changes. As such, I am glad to say that they will be doing just that this September 11th, after the usual server maintenance.
The changes are all fairly minor in the grand scheme of things, but they should still help bring some of the under-performing specializations into the spotlight, if only for a couple of boss fights. Here are the full patch notes, they aren't very long:
Payday devs have released a lengthy gameplay preview of their The Walking Dead co-op FPS

Overkill, the studio behind the Payday series, has been working on a four player co-op FPS set in The Walking Dead universe for quite a long time now. If you haven't already seen them, I would highly recommend you check out the four character introduction videos they released a little while back. They'll give you a pretty decent idea of the sort of tone Overkill is going for with The Walking Dead.
If you're interested in the actual gameplay, however, I am glad to say that Overkill has now released a rather lengthy gameplay preview as well. The video below includes some developer commentary, so if you're not interested in the talking and want to get straight to the zombie-smashing, skip to around 8:30 in the video. And with that said, have a gander:
The macOS and Linux versions of Life is Strange: Before the Storm will be coming this September 13th

Life is Strange: Before the Storm is a prequel to the original game set three years before Max returned to Arcadia Bay. It explores the unlikely friendship between our protagonist Chloe Price and the always-popular Rachel Amber, though there is also a small bonus episode covering Max's initial departure. I can't go into any more details without potentially spoiling things, but let's just say that if you've enjoyed Life is Strange, chances are you'll have fun with the prequel as well.
Before the Storm has been available on PC for quite a while now, so if you were waiting for it to finally appear on macOS or Linux, you'll be glad to hear that it has now been pinned for a September 13th release date. The macOS and Linux versions will come with all three episodes in a single bundle, though there will also be a "Deluxe Edition" containing additional content, including the above-mentioned bonus episode "Farewell".
