The PC and PS4 action-RPG God Eater 3 has now been pinned for a February 8th release date

God Eater 3 has been announced earlier this year during the series' 8th anniversary, and while Bandai Namco released quite a few gameplay previews around that time, they didn't reveal when we'll get to actually play it. As you can probably guess from the title, this has now finally been clarified, and as such we'll be able to see what exactly God Eater 3 has to offer this February 8th on both PC and PS4.

Besides the release date announcement, Bandai Namco has now also released a brand new trailer, though this time around focusing more on the story and less on the gigantic monsters. Have a look, but do be warned if you have lactose intolerance as the whole thing is quite cheesy indeed:

Total War: Warhammer 2's Curse of the Vampire Coast DLC is set to arrive this November 8th, bringing with it a wide assortment of zombie pirates, crazed vampires and nautical abominations. In gameplay terms, there will be four new Legendary Lords to toy around with, Lore of the Deep as a new school of magic, unique and upgradeable ships for each Legendary Lord, a new Infamy mechanic to tackle, and most importantly of all, the Star-Metal Harpoon to assemble in order to control the gigantic Merwyrm Amnar!

That would be the short version, but if you're interested in seeing all of the new units up close and personal, you'll be glad to hear that Creative Assembly has recently posted a rather lengthy preview showing just that. Have a look, and don't be afraid to skip around the video to find your favorites as otherwise you're going to be watching for quite a while:

Battlerite Royale is entirely free to try out on Steam until November 4th

Battlerite Royale, as you would expect from the name alone, takes Battlerite's skillshot-based gameplay away from the relatively cramped arenas and into the wide-open world littered with items to loot, abilities to upgrade, and naturally, other players to beat up. It's a fairly simple concept, but also quite an enjoyable one given that it features Battlerite's excellent combat system as its very core.

If you would like to give Battlerite Royale a try for yourself and see what exactly it's all about, you might be interested to hear that it's currently having a free weekend. So if you're curious, simply head on over to Steam and you'll be able to play for free until 8pm UTC on November 4th.

The truly infamous platformer series Bubsy is getting another modern sequel - Bubsy: Paws on Fire

If there is one positive thing you can say about Bubsy, it's that he doesn't give up. Despite his platformer series being widely regarded as some of the very worst, he has still attempted to make a return in October of 2017 with Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back. While the newest sequel was by no means a terrible game and something that was physically painful to play through, it was still the very definition of mediocrity and not something I would exactly recommend you go and pick up.

With five games and arguably five strikes to his name, you would think that this would finally be the time for Bubsy to lay his wisecracks to rest, but instead it would appear that Accolade is willing to give him another chance with Bubsy: Paws on Fire. Here's what it's going to look like:

Season 13 of Overwatch Competitive Play is set to begin in a couple of hours

If you're like me and you're currently waiting for the dreadfully boring post-season break to pass, you'll be glad to hear that Overwatch's 13th competitive season is nearly upon us. To be more specific, Season 13 will start at 5pm PDT this October 31st, or about 5 hours from the time of writing.

Blizzard hasn't announced any major content updates just yet, but with Blizzcon 2018 just around the corner, chances are good we'll be getting a brand new hero at some point this season. There are plenty of rumors about who the newest hero might be, mostly centered around the newly reworked Route 66 payload, but I would advise ignoring most of them as only one leak so far has proven to be accurate, and even that one took many months to fully materialize.

World of Warcraft: Classic devs have revealed what exactly you can expect from the Blizzcon demo

As previously announced, all Blizzcon 2018 tickets (both virtual and physical) will bring with them access to the much-anticipated World of Warcraft: Classic demo. Outside of private servers that are rife with flaws, this will be the first time anyone outside of Blizzard has managed to step foot into classic content, which as you might imagine, has spurred quite a bit of interest.

While that is certainly a positive thing, the sheer influx of players has also created a bit of a problem given that the demo servers are somewhat limited. In other words, during the initial release you will only be able to play for a certain (and currently unspecified) amount of time before being logged off in order to give someone else a chance. Naturally, your progress will be saved and you'll be able to dive back in soon enough, but the first few days are likely to be a bit messy.

Super Meat Boy's newly released DLC has added a split screen multiplayer mode and new chapters

Super Meat Boy Race Mode DLC official artwork

Super Meat Boy released onto Steam almost exactly 8 years ago, which is why I am both shocked and delighted to announce that it has now finally received its very first piece of DLC. The aptly named Super Meat Boy Race Mode DLC brings with it the long-awaited ability to race against your friends, though sadly only in local, split screen multiplayer.

Besides being able to choose from racing across entire chapters, individual stages or something completely random, the Race Mode DLC also includes the option to speed across chapters "forged by some of the most sadistic lunatics in our wonderful Super Meat World community", as well as a few chapters created by the team themselves. The latter will be rotating "every once in a while", so if you're interested in experiencing a whole new dimension of pain, make sure to check out the Featured option when selecting Race Mode.
