[Update]: Celeste's free Chapter 9 update has now arrived with over 100 new levels, and they're pretty good!
Back in 2018, the developers behind the excellent indie platformer Celeste announced that they will be releasing a bunch of new levels in early 2019 to celebrate their 500,000 copies sold milestone. As you're hopefully well aware, early 2019 has come and gone, but the free update has yet to appear.
Thankfully, this is not because of any behind-the-scenes problems, but rather because the developers have greatly increased the scope of the update. Instead of just a couple of new levels to say goodbye to Celeste, the upcoming update has now ballooned in size to over 100 new levels!
Civilization VI devs have detailed the improvements coming in with the free June update

While not as big as an actual expansion, Civilization VI will be getting a pretty sizable free update this June. First and foremost, there will be more diverse ways to increase your production, which should greatly increase your options in the early game. Quarries, pastures and lumber mills will be getting buffed to be more in-line with mines, and perhaps more importantly, you will be able to build lumber mills on rainforest tiles!
The pacing of technologies is also getting a bit of a rebalance, with the biggest change being the increase in cost from the medieval to atomic era. This, combined with some of the new technology requirements, should make for a much more pleasant multiplayer experience.

[Update #2]: The Surge 2 now has a lengthy and rather exciting developer walkthrough!
[Update]: Well, in the process of writing all of this up, it would appear that Deck 13 has gone and announced the release date themselves. It's official - The Surge 2 will be launching this September 24th!
[Old story]: Despite being announced all the way back in early 2018 and set for a 2019 release date, very little has been heard about The Surge 2 for quite a few months. And with Lords of the Fallen 2 recently losing its main developer, there were also quite a few rumors about The Surge 2 having a troubled development as well.
Thankfully, it would appear that The Surge 2 is chugging along quite nicely! In fact, according to the pre-order listing on the Microsoft website, The Surge 2 will be arriving in the relatively near future - September 23rd!
The extremely stylish exploration game Journey is coming to PC later this week

[Update]: After a year of exclusivity, Journey is coming to Steam as well.
Journey was originally a PlayStation 3 exclusive that released all the way back in 2012. As you might expect from the name alone, it was an exploration-focused adventure that was all about navigating a truly gorgeous world, taking in the sights, and slowly but surely piecing together the overall story. A relatively simple formula, but that didn't stop Journey from becoming a massive success from the moment it launched!
With that in mind, I am very happy to say that Journey will finally be coming to PC later this week, on June 6th. Here's what you can expect to see:

The first one arrived with the DLC in April alongside some highly positive reviews, while the second one is just around the corner with a whole bunch of new content in tow.
You can expect to see a whole bunch of new boss fights, starting off with the always-cuddly Cerberus and then moving onto some of the most legendary Greek heroes like Heracles or Perseus. There will also be a new storyline to experience, new locations and armor to discover, as well as whole bunch of specters of your previous enemies to fight against. Long story short, make sure to sharpen your blades and prepare for quite a few challenges!

As you might imagine from the name alone, Gato Roboto stars a cuddly little cat piloting a heavily armored mech through a variety of simple yet stylish environments. When it comes to the actual gameplay, Gato Roboto is a Metroidvania that will have you cleave your way through hordes of enemies in search of upgrades and secrets, all of which will then further enable you to blast away at even more baddies.
Since gameplay is king for any sort of Metroidvania game, allow me to share with you the recently posted launch trailer. It should give you a pretty good idea of what to expect:

Warhammer: Chaosbane, much like the Diablo series from which it draws a great deal of inspiration, is a fantasy hack and slash that's all about cleaving through untold hordes of monsters in search of ever-increasing amounts of randomized loot. A fairly simple formula, yet one that has managed to stand the test of time with resounding success!
So if you're wondering what exactly Warhammer: Chaosbane has to offer, as well as how it compares to the rest of the ARPG genre, allow me to share my thoughts after playing it for the past week or so.
