[Update]: Clash: Artifacts of Chaos is a wildly creative and charmingly weird brawler from the Zeno Clash and SolSeraph team.

If you're looking for something that's a little bit out of the ordinary, you might want to check out the newly released SolSeraph. It's essentially a hybrid between a side-scrolling action game focused on precision combat, and a top-down tower defense game where you have to build up your forces and fight off waves of enemies. A bit of a strange concept, which is why it probably won't come as much of a surprise to hear that SolSeraph is made by the same team behind Zeno Clash and Rock of Ages!

You can get a pretty good idea of just what SolSeraph has to offer through the recently posted launch trailer. I promise it's not a Borderlands spin-off even though the trailers start off the same way! Have a gander:

As you might imagine given the mixture of gameplay styles alone, SolSeraph is a bit of a divisive game. Some people seem to love the overlapping genres, while others can't help but lament that neither one is as polished as what they might be used to. Where exactly the truth lies, I'm afraid I don't know, so if you do decide to grab SolSeraph, make sure to do some research beforehand.
