[Update]: The developers have now released ~13 minutes of pure gameplay footage. Perfect if you're still unsure about The Surge 2!

The Dark Souls inspired The Surge 2 will be coming to both PC and consoles this September 24th. It'll bring with it significantly more customization options than its predecessor, greatly improved combat mechanics and a much more open world to explore, plenty of new items to toy around with, and naturally, a whole bunch of new enemies to endlessly bash your head against.

If you're wondering just what all of this might look like in gameplay terms, wonder no more as the developers have now released a rather detailed overview trailer highlighting just about everything you can expect to see in The Surge 2. Have a gander, it's a pretty informative video:

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD screenshot of the new Decathlon game mode

A little while ago it was leaked through Taiwan's Game Rating Board that there is a new Super Monkey Ball game in development for both PC and consoles. While I fully expected this would be a brand new game to once again kickstart the series, it seems that the mysterious new game will actually be an HD remaster of the Wii-exclusive Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz.

Besides improved visuals and better controls, the creatively named Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD will bring with it a brand new mini-game - Decathlon. As you might imagine from the name alone, Decathlon will task you with completing a set of ten mini-games in a row, all in order to show off your skills on the new online leaderboards.

[Update #2]: Monster Hunter: World - Iceborne has now arrived, though not without a couple of nasty issues that will need to be resolved over the coming weeks.

[Update]: Monster Hunter World: Iceborne's latest preview shows of the vast majority of monsters we'll get to fight against, and unsurprisingly, they're all pretty cool!

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is set to arrive this September 6th for consoles, bringing with it plenty of new toys to play around with. You can expect the Iceborne expansion to add a new and overly cheesy storyline, a massive new region to explore and pillage, an equally massive batch of new gear and weapons to craft, and naturally, a whole bunch of new monsters to slay!

So if you're wondering just what kind of monsters you can expect to see, as well what environments they'll inhabit, you should definitely check out the newly released Old Everwyrm trailer. Have a look, it's quite a ferocious bunch:

Remnant: From the Ashes is a newly released and rather exciting Souls-like action game

[Update #2]: Remnant II has now been unleashed, and so far it's looking quite good!

[Update]: Good news! Remnant: From the Ashes is getting a bigger and bolder sequel!

Remnant: From the Ashes is a third-person action shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by monstrous, plant-like creatures. While that sounds about as generic as it gets, Remnant sets itself apart from the rest through some solid gameplay and downright oppressive atmosphere.

Much like the Souls series from which it draws a lot of inspiration, both the melee and ranged combat in Remnant are as satisfying as they are dangerous. It's all about thinning enemy hordes before they can reach you, timing your dodges carefully so you don't end up losing half your health to a powerful attack, and then using the various openings the monsters leave in order to retaliate and dish out some serious damage yourself.

Gears 5 official screenshot showing off the Horde mode

Gears 5 is set to arrive this September 10th, bringing with it a whole bunch of different content to mess around with. And since no Gears of War game would be truly complete without a Horde mode, I'm pleased to say that during the recent Gamescom stream Microsoft has announced just that!

So if you're curious about what Gears 5's Horde mode will offer, as well as what sort of characters you'll be able to play as, you'll find the most recent trailer down below. Have a gander, it's a pretty explosive one:

World of Warcraft: Classic devs are urging players to swap from incredibly overpopulated realms

[Update #3]: Blizzard has now opened up free server transfers from the overpopulated realms.

[Update #2]: I'm happy to say that World of Warcraft: Classic has now been officially released and that the servers are practically overflowing with players!

[Update]: Blizzard has announced they will be adding a whole bunch of new WoW Classic servers on August 26th, right before launch!

Blizzard has recently opened up character creation and name reservation services for World of Warcraft: Classic, and as you might imagine, this has quickly resulted in the few available servers getting filled to the brim. More servers opened up to meet the ever-increasing demand, though with players essentially locked to their starting server due to name reservations, this did little to solve the problem.

As of right now, Blizzard is expecting the most popular WoW Classic servers to have queue times longer than an hour, perhaps even multiple hours during prime time. Since this isn't exactly ideal, Blizzard has now once again released a developer update urging players to swap from the overflowing realms to those that are merely overcrowded.

[Update #2]: Turn-Based RPG Wasteland 3 has now made its way to PC and consoles!

[Update]: Due to the pandemic slowing development, Wasteland 3 has now been delayed until late August 2020.

While Wasteland 3's release date is still as enigmatic as ever, things do appear to be progressing quite nicely. So much so that inXile has now released a decently lengthy trailer highlighting the story, atmosphere, and naturally, the turn-based combat.

That said, there are no major spoilers throughout the video, so don't be afraid to check it out even if you're planning to drop in almost completely blind. Have a gander, it's a pretty fun one:
