Overwatch has greatly buffed Genji and introduced 'priority requeue' for canceled games

[Update]: Overwatch devs are working on two experimental updates, the first of which bring some Genji nerfs.
A short while ago Blizzard released an experimental update that brought with it some really juicy Genji buffs. The damage of his primary fire was increased from 28 to 30, the spread of his secondary fire reduced from 12 to 9, while his deflect not only became manually cancelable, but it also got buffed from 1.5 to 2 seconds!
While there were a fair few players expressing worry about Genji's newfound power, it would appear that Blizzard was quite happy with the results as they have now unleashed this patch onto the live servers! The update has also brought with it a small Hanzo buff, a relatively serious Echo nerf, and even an audio 'nerf' for Orisa - just to spice things up, I suppose! You can find the full list of changes, and the accompanying Workshop tweaks, over at the Overwatch website.
Iron Harvest, an upcoming alternate history RTS, is free to check out this week

As the title would suggest, Iron Harvest is an upcoming real-time strategy game set in an alternate history version of the 1920s. Expect to see common men fighting alongside an assortment of dieselpunk robots, heavily armored and mobile bunkers, sword-wielding mechs, and a whole host of other clunky yet incredibly deadly machinery.
You can get a bit of an idea of what this madhouse looks like in action, as well as how adorable the killer robots really are, through the recently posted trailer. Have a little peek:
The finale of the Hitman trilogy is launching in January 2021 for PC, PlayStation and Xbox

[Update]: Hitman 3 will be sneaking its way onto PC and consoles this January 20th.
After two extremely successful Hitman games, IO Interactive are now aiming for a clean sweep with Hitman 3. The conclusion of the World of Assassination trilogy will be launching in January 2021 for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, as well as Xbox One and Series X.
Expect to see a whole assortment of new maps to explore, one of which will be set in Dubai, as well as a variety of improvements over the previous two Hitman games. Furthermore, all locations from Hitman 1 and 2 can be imported and played within Hitman 3 provided you own the all three games, which combined with progress from Hitman 2 carrying over to Hitman 3, should make for a rather seamless experience.
World of Warcraft has greatly sped up the Auction House by throttling automated actions

[Update]: World of Warcraft will soon start connecting low-population servers to more active ones.
If you've been using the auction house in World of Warcraft over the past few weeks, you've likely noticed that it becomes incredibly slow around peak hours. Sometimes the auction house can even get so overwhelmed it simply starts ignoring your inputs, making it so posting even a couple of potions can be a needlessly lengthy and tedious affair.
In order to address this, Blizzard has now essentially given players a 'budget' of auction house actions per minute, all with the intent to put a stop to addons submitting massive amounts of operations over and over again. From what I can tell the number of actions appears to be 25, so if you're a casual user, this shouldn't affect you in any real way.
Bethesda has announced Deathloop - a stylish hybrid between Dishonored and Prey: Mooncrash

[Update #2]: Deathloop has been delayed until September 14, 2021, again due to the pandemic.
[Update]: Due to the pandemic, Deathloop has been delayed until 2021.
If there is one thing that annoyed me with Dishonored, it would be the fact that most of your super-exciting abilities were geared towards combat - something the actual storyline heavily discouraged. As such, I am quite pleased to say that Bethesda has now announced Deathloop - a Dishonored inspired shooter where you're essentially stuck in a time loop and have to escape through the use of awesome-looking powers and good ol' fashioned guns!
Rather than babble on, allow me to share with you the recently posted trailer. It'll clue you in pretty quickly on just what Deathloop has to offer, as well as how close it truly is to Dishonored in terms of gameplay. Have a gander:
Griftlands is a deck-building roguelite from the studio behind Don't Starve

[Update]: After two years in Early Access, Griftlands has now successfully been unleashed!
Klei Entertainment, the studio behind Don't Starve and Oxygen Not Included, has now unleashed their newest game Griftlands onto Steam Early Access. To put it simply, Griftlands is a rogue-lite deck-building game that's all about making hard choices, picking the right factions and people to support, and naturally, experimenting with a variety of builds before you inevitably pick a fight with someone you really shouldn't have.
Right now Griftlands only has two playable character, though each one has their own unique campaign with different factions to befriend (or annoy) and locations to plunder. Each one also comes with two distinct decks to toy around with, one for battle and one for negotiations, which makes hitting the perfect built quite a tricky affair. So if you're looking for a roguelite game with a bit of longevity, it seems like Griftlands will have you covered.
Torchlight 3 has just landed into Steam Early Access, and sadly the reviews aren't pretty

[Update]: After only a few months in Early Access, Torchlight 3 has now been unleashed onto PC and consoles.
Sometimes, releasing a game out of nowhere and with very little advertising can be a good thing. In the case of the freshly launched PC version of Persona 4 Golden, the sudden launch quickly resulted in a massive wave of excitement as both the port and the game itself are rock solid.
Unfortunately, this week was also marked with the exact opposite scenario. The long-awaited ARPG Torchlight 3 has just recently landed onto Steam Early Access with almost no fanfare, and soon enough got absolutely savaged by the user reviews.
