Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time leaked artwork for PS and Xbox

[Update #2]: Contrary to the rumors, Crash Bandicoot 4 will not have microtransactions.

[Update]: Crash Bandicoot 4 has been officially confirmed alongside a fancy new trailer!

After the massive success of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane trilogy, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that the studio that worked on both - Toys for Bob - is currently toiling away on a new platformer project. What might come as quite a surprise is that they're apparently not working on a remaster or remake, but rather an entirely new Crash Bandicoot game!

While nothing has been officially announced just yet, various leaks have already shown that the new game will be called Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, and that it will be coming for both PlayStation and Xbox. As is tradition, nothing has been mentioned about the PC version just yet, but it'll likely arrive a few months down the line as well.

The gameplay details are currently nonexistent as well, but if you're willing to believe rumors, then Crash, Coco and Cortex will all be playable in some form. As for the release date, there is a good chance Crash Bandicoot 4 will be arriving on October 9, 2020.

Once the full announcement goes live I'll make sure to let you know, but until then, I'd highly recommend not getting too attached to any specific rumor - after all, you can never really tell what's real and what's not.
