[Update]: Remastered version of Persona 3 Portable has now made its way onto PC and consoles
The PC version of Persona 4 Golden was accidentally leaked a few days ago, so hearing that it has now been officially revealed shouldn't come as too much of a surprise. What might come as quite a shock, however, is that the Persona 4 Golden has now suddenly been released onto PC!
In terms of features, expect the remastered version to bring in support for variable framerates, as well as full HD visuals. There's also the usual assortment of Steam achievements and trading cards, and even the ability to choose between the Japanese and English voice acting, just in case you want to go full-on authentic.

[Update]: Fatshark has now revealed how Kruber became a Grail Knight alongside a spiffing new cinematic trailer!
It may have taken Fatshark quite a while, but it has finally happened - they are adding weather variations for maps! Once the next update arrives, all maps with outdoor areas will have a chance to feature different weather and lighting conditions, thus offering a slightly different experience with every single run.
There's even more good news on that front as Fatshark has now also revealed the very first new career for Vermitnide 2 - Grail Knight Kruber. The chivalrous Grail Knight will come with its own talent tree, new weapon types, new abilities, a whole new assortment of cosmetics, and hopefully a completely outrageous French accent!
Mortal Shell is a Souls-like action RPG with a highly compelling and downright oppressive atmosphere

[Update #2]: Mortal Shell will be making its way to PC and consoles this August 18th.
[Update]: Mortal Shell has now opened up its free beta for everyone to enjoy.
If you're a fan of the Souls-like genre and you're looking for a new contender to sink your teeth into, you might want to keep an eye on the newly announced Mortal Shell. Much like Dark Souls from which it draws a great deal of inspiration, Mortal Shell is all about exploring a broken-down world in search of some sort of salvation, all the while facing down one challenging foe after another in highly precise duels.
As for the Mortal Shell name, it is quite literal in this case. According to the brief description, you'll be able to awaken the long-lost remains of legendary warriors, and through their skill further enhance your combat options. Whether these possessions will be permanent or something you change on a frequent basis, I'm afraid I have no answer to give you, but it's certainly an interesting concept to puzzle over!

[Update]: Resident Evil Village PC demo will be going live on May 1st!
During yesterday's "PS5 Future of Gaming" event Capcom finally gave everyone a small peek at the upcoming Resident Evil 8: Village. In a bit of a strange twist, Resident Evil 8 will feature Chris and Ethan as they survival-horror their way through a variety of monsters from European folklore, including what appear to be full-on werewolves!
But rather than babble on, allow me to share with you the freshly posted preview. There's not much in terms of actual gameplay on display, but it should still give you a pretty good idea of the sort of visual fidelity Cacpom is aiming for with Resident Evil 8. Have a gander:

If the recent announcement of Hitman 3 has got you in a sneaky mood, you might be interested to hear that Hitman: Absolution is now free to grab. Simply head on over to GOG, claim yourself a copy, and you'll be ready to play in no time. Speaking of which, the whole giveaway is on a rather strict time limit, so do make sure to add it to your account within the next two and a half days.
As for whether Hitman: Absolution is even worth your time, that's a bit of a difficult question to answer. It's not a bad game by any stretch, but much like that one weird uncle you see once a year during the holidays, something just feels a little bit off with it.

After spending about a year exclusively on consoles, SNK's fighting game Samurai Shodown has now finally made its way to PC as well. You can grab it for €50 on the Epic Games Store, though unfortunately neither of the two Season Passes are included in the price, thus making it considerably more expensive than its console counterparts.
As for what exactly Samurai Shodown has to offer, as well as what the PC version even looks like, that you can find out through the recently posted trailer. Have a gander:
Deep Rock Galactic update has added new mission objectives and boss-like enemy

[Update]: Deep Rock Galactic update has added two new mission types and a bunch of cosmetics.
It has only been a short while since Deep Rock Galactic released from Steam Early Access, and already Ghost Ship Games have launched a fairly sizable update. This one brings with it a variety of bug and crash fixes, three new secondary objectives, as well as a whole bunch of new layouts and props to gawk at as you explore the numerous biomes.
Perhaps most importantly, there's now a brand new boss-like enemy to encounter while wondering through the cave systems - the Korlok Tyrant-Weed. It's a particularly nasty one as it endlessly spawns aggressive sproutlings that will eventually overwhelm even the best of teams, so do make sure to tear out its 'heart' before it manages to return the favor.
