Far Cry 6 has been announced alongside a rather fetching cinematic trailer

[Update #2]: Far Cry 6 has now arrived onto PC and consoles with a few new twists on the age-old Ubisoft formula.
[Update]: Due to the pandemic, Far Cry 6's release date been pushed back.
While the announcement shouldn't come as too much of a surprise given the recent leak, Ubisoft has now officially revealed Far Cry 6. The gameplay details are unfortunately still few and far between, but you can expect Far Cry 6 to take place in a jungle environment, have you face off against yet another tyrannical ruler, and perhaps most importantly of all, pair up with an adorable (and apparently quite deadly) wiener dog companion!
If you're hoping the cinematic trailer will focus on the wiener dog and its adventures, I'm afraid you're out of luck, but it's not all that bad as the trailer itself is actually quite fetching! Have a gander, it sets up the mood rather well:
The open-world hacking game Watch Dogs 2 is now entirely free to grab

Originally, Watch Dogs 2 was going to be given away through Ubisoft's online conference Forward. As you might imagine, the moment the Forward stream went online was also the moment the giveaway collapsed under the sheer weight of all the people trying to get themselves a copy.
In order to correct this little issue, as well as give people another chance to grab Watch Dogs 2, Ubisoft has now launched a less time-pressured giveaway. Simply head on over to the Ubisoft website, log in or create a new account, and Watch Dogs 2 will be added to your library in no time flat.
The standalone (and conditionally free) Superhot: Mind Control Delete is launching this July 16th

[Update]: Mine Control Delete has now arrived with even more time-bendy shooty action!
Given the massive success of Superhot and its VR incarnation, it really shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that there is a brand new game coming. What might be a rather big shock, however, is that the new Superhot: Mind Control Delete will be entirely free!
Naturally, there is a little bit of a catch. Superhot: Mind Control Delete will be launching this July 16th, and in order to get yourself a free copy, you'll need to purchase the original Superhot before that date. Any sort of free giveaway does not apply in this case, so if you got it through the Epic Games Store for a free a little while back, you'll unfortunately still need to purchase Superhot: Mind Control Delete the regular way.
Full remake of Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town is launching next week on PC

[Update]: Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town has now landed onto Steam.
Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town, formerly a part of the Harvest Moon series, released for the Game Boy Advance all the way back in 2003. While it may be incredibly old by today's standards, it is one of those games that has successfully stood the test of time and is remarkably enjoyable to this very day.
As such, you might be interested to hear that a full remake of it will soon be launching onto PC. And when I say soon, I really do mean that as Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town will be arriving this July 14th. It's also worth mentioning that the Nintendo Switch has already been released, so if you want to kickstart your farm as soon as possible, that would be the route to take.
Classic Castlevania inspired Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 has arrived with a mech-piloting Corgi

The original Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon was released as a Kickstarter reward to help tide players over before Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night's full release. However, while it may have had incredibly humble origins, Curse of the Moon ended up being a remarkably fun Castlevania game!
As such, I am very happy to say that it's sequel - Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 - has now arrived alongside some rather positive reviews. The sequel brings with it all of the characters from the original, a greatly expanded map with a lot more content to sink your teeth into, a variety of new characters including a corgi in a mech suit, and most importantly of all, two-player co-op!
Quake Champions' Season 7 update has brought in a new map and a variety of cosmetic rewards

While the updates for Quake Champions have slowed down considerably, you might be glad to hear that there are still developers working it. In fact, they have just released a brand new update to mess around with!
As far as major additions are concerned, the Ithagnal-themed Tower of Koth map for DM, TDM, CA, Duel, Intagib, Unhly Trinity and arcade game modes is the definite highlight. That said, the update has also marked the arrival of Season 7, and along with it, a brand new Battle Pass containing skins for the Blaster Pistol, Shotgun and Hyperblaster, as well as six new shaders.
Monster Crown is looking to offer a bit of a darker take on the Pokemon formula

[Update]: Monster Crown has now landed into Steam Early Access with about one third of the final content.
When it comes to Pokemon themed games, despite all of them revolving around gigantic monsters kicking the snot out of each other, they're all pretty much overwhelmingly positive. However, the upcoming Monster Crown is looking to take things in a bit of a different... and darker direction.
Once its fully finished, expect to see around 200 base monsters that you can breed and fuse into more impressive and dangerous forms, a fairly large world to explore, as well as a choice between being the one that will help those in need or simply doom them all in a reckless pursuit of ever-greater power.
