Guild Wars 2 No Quarter update artwork showing the Charr civil war

[Update]: Guild Wars 2's The Icebrood Saga - Jormag Rising update is launching in late July.

While the previous episode spent most of its time reminiscing about Season 1 content, the freshly added Chapter Three of The Icebrood Saga has brought with it Drizzlwood Coast as an action-packed new map to explore, a full-blown war between the Charr Factions, and naturally, a whole host of new cosmetics to toy around with.

Even though the new story is certainly fun to follow, it is the Drizzlewood Coast map that is the definite highlight of this update. The designers have taken heavy inspiration from the World vs World game mode, and it really shows given that the new map features massive events that have you siege fortresses, take control of supplies, and mow down enemies by the dozens. It really does feel like something far greater than you!

It's a highlight of everything Guild Wars 2 does correctly when it comes to public events, and I can only hope they'll continue with this kind of scale in the future as well - just hopefully with a lot less garbage constantly being thrown into our inventory.

As for what exactly Drizzlewood Coast and the new cosmetics look like in action, that you'll find out through the recently posted trailer. Have a gander:

The final thing worth mentioning is something you've likely noticed while watching the trailer - there is no voice acting. Due to the current pandemic ArenaNet has not managed to get their usual crew of actors to record new lines, so all of the voice acting for this update will be added at a future date.

You can learn more about the No Quarter update, as well as The Icebrood Saga as a whole, over at the official website. Have fun!
