[Update #2]: Total War: Troy's Amazons DLC is charging in on September 24th and will be free for two weeks!
[Update]: Newest Troy update has improved performance and nerfed both chariots and army-destroying spies.
In a bit of a divergence from the rest of the series, Total War: Troy has now been released exclusively for the Epic Games Store. Even more shockingly than that, Creative Assembly has announced that Troy will be entirely free to grab for 24 hours after launch!
All you have to do is head on over to the Epic Games Store, claim yourself a copy, and you'll be good to go. You don't even need to install it right away. As long as Troy is added to your account, you'll be able to play it whenever you want and for however long you want.
Fae Tactics is a colorful and charming strategy game inspired by Final Fantasy Tactics

If you're a fan of oldschool strategy games, especially things like Final Fantasy Tactics, you might want to check out the newly launched Fae Tactics. To put it simply, Fae Tactics will have you explore the world while befriending a wide variety of characters, battle and capture a myriad of Fae creatures, and naturally, manage both your equipment and magical elements in order to best counter whatever challenge gets thrown right at you.
You can get a pretty good idea of how all of this translates into actual gameplay, as well as what sort of visual style Fae Tactics is going for, through the recently posted launch trailer. Have a peek:

[Update #2]: Apex Legends' Season 6 has now finally arrived alongside Rampart, a new energy SMG, and item crafting!
[Update]: The newest Season 6 preview is all about Rampart and her abilities, and as expected, she's looking like a bit of a controversial addition given her shields and mountable turret.
Season 6 of Apex Legends will be heading over to PC and consoles this August 18th. You can expect to see a brand new energy SMG by the name of Volt, the ability to craft your own gear by collecting materials throughout the map, and perhaps most importantly of all, a brand new heavy-weapons focused legend called Rampart!
While the list of her abilities has not been announced just yet, you can get a pretty good idea of what Rampart is all about through two of the newly posted trailers. The first is an animated short setting up Rampart's backstory, while the second is the Season 6 launch trailer. Have a peek:
Horizon Zero Dawn devs are working on fixing the numerous issues with the PC port

[Update]: Patch 1.02 has corrected some of the issues plaguing the PC version of Horizon Zero Dawn.
Horizon Zero Dawn arrived onto PC last week, and while the gameplay itself is pretty darn fun, the quality of the PC port leaves a lot to be desired. Not only are there performance issues present all throughout the campaign, but there's also a bunch of seemingly random crashes to make things even more irritating.
The good news is that the team behind the PC version of Horizon Zero Dawn is well aware of these issues and is working on a fix. No exact details have been given just yet, but you can expect to hear more as soon as the developers are happy with the state of the upcoming patch.
Forza Horizon 3 will be going away for good this September 27, 2020

Even though it only released in late 2016 for Xbox One and PC, Forza Horizon 3 will soon be going away for good. And I really do mean soon, as it'll be reaching its "end of life" period this September 27, 2020.
What this "end of life" period means is that Forza Horizon 3 and all of its DLC will no longer be available for purchase in the Microsoft store. However, features like multiplayer and online services will remain accessible, so if you purchase the game before the cut-off date, you'll still be able to play without a hitch. A bizarre decision to be sure, but I can only imagine there's a whole bunch of licensing nonsense making things far too messy behind the scenes.
Fall Guys will be adding a fan-favorite beta level with today's update

[Update]: Fall Guys Season 2 is bringing in a bunch of medieval-themed maps and cosmetics!
If you've somehow managed to avoid seeing any mention of it, Fall Guys is a Takeshi's Castle inspired party game for up to 60 players that's all about competing in a variety of wacky and physics based challenges. It's simple to learn, extremely fun in short bursts, absolutely adorable, and unsurprisingly, pretty darn popular at the moment.
However, Fall Guys does have one rather major problem - after a while, the levels do tend to get a bit samey given that there's only a small amount of them. As such, I am very happy to say that the developers are already working on solving this little issue, and will be releasing a fan-favorite from the beta later today.
Instead of launching this holiday season, Halo Infinite has been pushed back to 2021

[Update #2]: Halo Infinite's open-world singleplayer campaign has now arrived for PC and Xbox, and so far it's looking remarkably good.
[Update]: Halo Infinite's free Season 1 multiplayer beta has now been unleashed ahead of its December launch.
I don't know what it is with this week specifically, but there have been quite a few delays announced! Dirt 5 has been pushed back to October 16th, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 is set to launch at some point in 2021, while the newest addition to the list, Halo Infinite, has now also been delayed until 2021.
"The decision to shift our release is the result of multiple factors that have contributed to development challenges, including the ongoing COVID-related impacts affecting us all this year," explains the brief developer update. "I want to acknowledge the hard work from our team at 343 Industries, who have remained committed to making a great game and finding solutions to development challenges. However, it is not sustainable for the well-being of our team or the overall success of the game to ship this holiday."
