Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 official artwork and logo

If after a lengthy period of utter silence you're now itching for some actual information about the state of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, I have a bit of good and bad news to share. The good news is that not only is Bloodlines 2 still in development, but the team is now offering refunds to anyone that pre-ordered any edition of the game!

“We acknowledge it was a long time ago that many of you pre-ordered Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2,” explains the developer update. “As development continues, we will be updating the game’s editions and bonus content, and we want to provide the best value to those of you who supported us via digital pre-order after all this time. We are thus offering refunds to anyone who has pre-ordered any edition of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2.”

“As part of this process, we are proactively refunding all pre-orders of physical products, including the Collector’s Edition. The digital versions of the First Blood Edition, Unsanctioned Edition and Blood Moon Edition remain, but can be refunded if you choose.”

As for the bad news, that would be the simple fact that this is the entirety of the news. Nothing new has been said about how far along Bloodlines 2 is in development, what sort of features are being focused on, or which studio is even working on it! That sort of information won't be coming any time soon either, as Bloodline 2's big re-reveal has just been scheduled for September 2023.

Once the big announcement goes live, I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, all we can really do is sit, wait and hope Bloodlines 2 ends up being at least slightly less janky than its predecessor.
