Horizon Zero Dawn official artwork for Rampart

[Update #2]: Apex Legends' 2020 Halloween event is launching with a spruced up 'Shadow Royale' mode!

[Update]: Apex Legends has added cross-play, as well as tweaked both Wraith and Pathfinder!

If you've fallen off the Apex Legends train and you're looking for something to potentially revitalize your interest, you might want to check out the newly launched Season 6 - Boosted. It brings with it the heavy-weapons focused Rampart as a brand new legend, the rather powerful energy SMG Volt, the ability to craft your own gear by collecting materials throughout the map, and naturally, a whole bunch of changes to the weapons, legends, and even the World's Edge map itself!

You can get a pretty good idea of what all of this looks like in action through two of the newest trailers. The first one is all about Rampart and her abilities, while the second one is more focused on the general changes. Have a little peek:

When it comes to the major gameplay changes, the biggest difference is that all armor is now Evo Armor and can thus be upgraded by participating in fights. So while you can still find Purple Armor and thus kickstart your match in a major way, you'll no longer be as reliant on pure luck in order to get those crucial armor upgrades, especially in the early game. While this does promote camping a bit more than I'm happy with, it's still a pretty solid change, and one that will make the early game brawls all the more exciting!

You can check out all of the other major balance tweaks and bug fixes, including the various changes to the legends themselves, over at the patch notes. Needless to say, it's a rather long list, so do come prepared with some refreshments!

Have fun with Season 6, and if you're looking for a few more tidbits of information, you'll find what you seek over at the Apex website. Oh, and make sure to give the all-energy loadout a try - it's incredibly powerful right now!
