The charming and occasionally horrifying Bugsnax is heading over to Steam in 2022

[Update]: The Isle of Bigsnax expansion has now arrived, and with it Bugsnax has officially made its way to Steam as well!
Bugsnax is one of those games that defies all expectations, and I mean that in a good way. While Bugsnax starts off lighthearted and looking downright adorable, things eventually devolve into pure madness, and it only ends up getting weirder from there. Combine that with some surprisingly compelling characters and you've got yourself an indie action-adventure that's well worth experiencing.
With that in mind, it's also worth mentioning that you'll soon have another choice when it comes to which platforms you can play Bugsnax on. The exact release date hasn't been posted just yet, but Bugsnax will be finally making its way to Steam in 2022, most likely very early on.
Total War: Troy has now been released onto Steam alongside the new Mythos expansion

[Update]: Total War Troy's next DLC expansion is adding two new factions led by Rhesus and Memnon.
It may have taken quite a while, but Total War: Troy's Epic Games Store exclusivity has come to an end and so Troy has now made its way over to Steam as well. More importantly, it has done so alongside the release of a long awaited new expansion - Mythos!
As the name would suggest, the Mythos expansion brings with it a whole assortment of mythological monsters and themed units to play around with, thus fixing one of the biggest complaints many have had with Troy since the very beginning. Besides the monstrous menagerie, Mythos has also updated the world map with a variety of references to classic literature and legends, as well as added army-wide abilities granted by the gods themselves.
MTG Arena is getting the Werewolf-filled Innistrad: Midnight Hunt expansion on September 16th

[Update #2]: Innistrad: Midnight Hunt has now landed alongside the yearly Standard set rotation.
[Update]: All of Innistrad: Midnight Hunt's expansion cards have now been revealed.
It has only been a little while since Jumpstart: Historic Horizons brought in a ton of cards to MTG Arena, and already a brand new set is inching closer. Innistrad: Midnight Hunt will be arriving onto MTG Arena on September 16th alongside a whole assortment of zombies, werewolves and spirits, while the physical version will be launching a week later, on September 24th.
As you would expect from an Innistrad set, the mechanics this time around are all about transformations and graveyard interaction. So not only are we getting werewolves that transform between two forms based on the time of day, but we're also getting flashback-style mechanics for both creatures and instants/sorceries.
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous has now landed onto PC with a massive campaign in tow

[Update]: Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous' Enhanced Edition has landed with new quests and improvements.
If you're in the mood for some good ol' fashioned adventuring, and you're not afraid of reading vast quantities of dialog, you might be interested to hear that Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous has now arrived onto PC. Much like its predecessor, Wrath of the Righteous brings with it an absurd amount of character customization options, a gigantic world to explore, a whole assortment of choices to make, and perhaps most importantly, some rather interesting companions to chat up in between all of the looting.
You can read my full thoughts on Wrath of the Righteous in a review I did a few days ago, but long story short, it really is an excellent homage to classic CRPGs. The only real issue I have with it is the overabundance of bugs, something that has plagued the original as well. So if you can forgive some technical issues, or just wait a couple of weeks for the devs to patch them up, I'd say Wrath of the Righteous is well worth checking out.
Metal Slug Tactics is transforming the usual run'n'gun action into turn-based strategy

[Update]: After lengthy delays, Metal Slug Tactics will finally be launching on November 5th, 2024!
In an interesting departure from its run'n'gun action roots, the next Metal Slug game will be a turn-based tactics one! The aptly named Metal Slug Tactics will feature the same sort of charming visuals as the rest of the series, though this time around they will be in service of turn-based combat, RPG-like progression for each of the unique brothers-in-arms, as well as some roguelike elements which are there just to spice things up a bit.
You can get a pretty good idea of what all of this looks like in action through the recently posted gameplay trailer. It's not a very long one, though it is at least a rather pretty one! Have a gander:

[Update]: After an extended round of testing, Malevento has now been unleashed onto the live servers!
In an announcement that has sadly become far too rare, Blizzard has just unveiled brand new content for Overwatch! The content in question is a new deathmatch map called Malevento, and as you can see in the brief teaser over at Twitter, it's once again going to be a rather beautiful one!
The good news doesn't end there, however, as Malevento is currently playable on the PTR. If you would like to join in on the fun, as well as help the Overwatch team with some much needed feedback, simply change your PC client's region to PTR and you'll be ready to go after a brief download.
