[Update]: Overwatch's annual Halloween Terror event is bringing in spooky, scary skins on October 12, 2021.

After spending a good few weeks on the test servers, Overwatch's newest deathmatch map Malevento has now finally arrived. Much like its predecessor Kanezaka, Malevento brings with it some downright gorgeous scenery, interesting setpieces to play around on, and naturally, plenty of opportunities to duke it out with your fellow players while waiting on those endless DPS queues.

As for how all of this looks like in actual gameplay, that you can find out through the recently posted trailer. Have a look, it really is a lovely map:

Sadly, that's pretty much it as far as this update is concerned. Outside of a couple of tiny bug fixes, nothing else has been changed or rebalanced.

The good news, however, is that Blizzard has recently detailed what will be happening with Sombra and Bastion in Overwatch 2. So while its release date is still shrouded in mystery, we now at least know in what sort of direction Overwatch 2 will be pushing DPS heroes in.
