Rhesus and Memnon from Total War Saga: Troy

In order to give everyone a little bit of a break from the endless stream of Total War: Warhammer 3 announcements, Creative Assembly have now revealed a brand new expansion for Total War: Troy - Rhesus & Memnon. As the name would imply, the next DLC will bring with it the Thracian tribes led by Rhesus, and the mighty kingdom of Aethiopia along with its ruler Memnon.

Each faction will also bring with it a whole assortment of themed campaign and battle mechanics, as well as 49 new units in total to play around with! You can get a little bit of a sneak peek at what these units will look like in action, as well as what Rhesus and Memnon are all about, through two of the recently posted trailer. Have a gander, starting with the announcement one:

Much like the rest of the DLC expansions, Rhesus & Memnon will also arrive alongside a considerable free update. As such, you can expect to see the ability to trade island regions with your neighbors, the option to construct buildings instantly by paying a considerable sum of gold, a new mechanic that lets you spy on your enemies, and most importantly of all, an auto-resolve prediction system to help you decide whether your expertise is actually needed on the battlefield.

If all of this sounds like something you'd love to mess around with, then mark December 14th on your calendar as that's when Rhesus & Memnon will be landing alongside the free update. To learn a little bit more about them, as well as to keep an eye on the macOS version, you should head on over to the Total War website.

Enjoy, and here's to hoping the admittedly niche Troy keeps getting this kind of support in the future as well!
