Given how well the original Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice ended up doing, it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise to hear that Ninja Theory is currently hard at work on a large-scale sequel. Unfortunately, while we do know that Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is on the way for PC and Xbox, the actual details behind its gameplay and story are currently still shrouded in mystery.

If you would like a little teaser of things to come, however, then you'll be glad to hear that Ninja Theory has recently shared the very first gameplay preview for Hellblade II. The video won't exactly tell you what Hellblade II's story is all about, but it will at least give you a pretty solid impression of what sort of tone and atmosphere the devs are going for, as well as how fancy they're making the visuals. Have a look:

In stark contrast to the usual survival experience where you begin the game by punching trees and smashing rocks together, in the upcoming Forever Skies you will start off with a high-tech airship at your disposal. With it you'll need to explore what little remains of Earth, research strange anomalies that litter the long-destroyed cities, and naturally, secure a stable source of food and water before delving even deeper.

What all of this looks like in actual gameplay, that you can find out through the recently posted reveal trailer. Have a gander, it's quite an interesting concept:

Burning Crusade Classic is bringing in The Black Temple and Mount Hyjal raids on January 27th

[Update #2]: World of Warcraft will finally be adding cross-faction dungeons, raids and rated PvP in Update 8.2.5!

[Update]: Let the squabbling over Warglaives begin - Phase 3 of Burning Crusade Classic has now arrived!

I hope your guild has decided who's getting the almighty Warglaives, because Blizzard has just revealed that Phase 3 of Burning Crusade Classic will be launching on January 27th. With it you can expect to see the arrival of The Black Temple and The Battle for Mount Hyjal raids, as well as the Netherwing daily quest hub with its always delightful Netherdrake mount rewards.

Much like before, in order to even enter the new raids you'll need to first complete the attunement quests. For The Battle for Mount Hyjal you'll need to defeat both Kael'thas Sunstrider in Tempest Keep and Lady Vashj in Serpentshine Cavern, while The Black Temple will have you complete a lengthy quest chain that starts with the "Tablets of Baa'ri" in Shadowmoon Valley. It's a bit of an ordeal, I'm not going to lie, but the heaps of new loot definitely make it an attractive proposition regardless!

[Update #2]: Forspoken has now arrived with a free demo and an outrageous price tag.

[Update]: In order to avoid a rough launch like Babylon's Fall, Square Enix has now pushed back Forspoken to October 11, 2022.

Developed by the Luminous Productions team, many of which worked on Final Fantasy XV, Forspoken is an upcoming action-adventure with a focus on open-world exploration and magically-enhanced parkour. Besides being used to skate around on ice, these magical abilities will also enable a wide variety of playstyles - everything from running at the enemy while screaming incoherently to more subtle, stealth focused approaches.

On the story side of things, Forspoken will have you take control of Frey Holland, an ordinary person from New York City that has found herself trapped in the bizarre land of Athia. With the world dying due to a mysterious corruption, your arrival and inexplicable magical powers will be seen as both a blessing and a curse. So as you might expect, you'll need to prove yourself to the locals, put a stop to the endlessly spreading corruption, and hopefully also find a road back home somewhere along the way.

King of the Dwarves is an upcoming Dungeon Keeper inspired underground city builder

While the name might imply some sort of connection to Dwarf Fortress, the upcoming King of the Dwarves is more of a Dungeon Keeper inspired colony management and city building simulator. What this means in gameplay terms is that you will have to gather resources and amass vast riches, mine and build the perfect underground kingdom, and also do your best to defend your home once hordes of Orcs and Goblins start banging on the door.

Along the way you'll also have to manage hundreds of Dwarves with a variety of different specializations, turn dangerous lava rivers and waterfalls to your advantage, research new technology and forge mighty weapons, and occasionally even indulge in a bit of diplomacy. A simple enough concept, but one that definitely has a great deal of potential.

[Update #2]: Hitman 3's free July update has added a brand new map to completely ransack- Ambrose Island.

[Update]: The Hitman Trilogy has now arrived, though sadly not without quite a few issues.

If you are looking for an excuse to dive into the Hitman series for the very first time, mark January 20th on your calendar as that's when the Hitman Trilogy will be landing for PC and consoles. As the name would imply, the Hitman Trilogy will combine all three of the modern Hitman games into a single, convenient package alongside a couple of extras.

Most excitingly, the Hitman Trilogy will launch with support for PC VR in all three games, thus ending a year of PSVR exclusivity for Hitman 3. The exact list of supported devices has not been revealed just yet, but the brief announcement does mention it'll be available on "the most popular hardware to deliver the best experience to as many players as possible."
