[Update]: It took over a decade, but The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero is coming to PC in Fall 2022.

Only a year has gone by since the excellent The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III, and already the sequel has now made its way to PC and Switch. Trails of Cold Steel IV brings with it the finale of the massive saga, an equally huge roster of characters that takes from the entire series, as well as a whole host of new mini-games and abilities to mess around with in battles and outside of them.

You can get a little bit of an idea of which characters will be playing a major role, as well as how all of this looks like in actual gameplay, through one of the trailers below. Have a gander, it's a fairly long one:

As for whether Trails of Cold Steel IV is worth grabbing, chances are you already know the answer to that question. If you've played the series so far and enjoyed it, then odds are you'll love the finale as well. On the other hand, if this is your first time encountering the Trails of Cold Steel series, you might want to start from the very beginning and see how it goes from there.

It's also worth mentioning that while Trails of Cold Steel IV has no free demo available, its predecessor Trails of Cold Steel III does. So if you're curious how the series feels to actually play, I'd highly recommend checking it out. Who knows, you might just find a new genre you really enjoy!
