[Update]: The seemingly final update has now arrived, and with it the much-anticipated co-op mode!

All good things must eventually come to an end, and so the story focused action-roguelike Children of Morta is now preparing for its final update. In order to give it the sendoff it truly deserves, the February 14th update will bring with it one of the most frequently requested features - an online co-op mode!

So instead of having to rely on local split-screen, or various services that emulate that, after this final update you'll be able to just join a friend and venture into the wilds together without any sort of hassle. A remarkably simple concept, but also one that took a fair bit of time and effort to actually implement.

All of MTG Arena's cyber-ninja infused Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty cards have now been revealed

[Update]: Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty has now arrived alongside a host of cyber-ninjas, biker rats and mechanized goblin samurai.

After an extended stay in the land of eternal darkness and gothic horror, Magic: The Gathering is now going in a completely different direction with the upcoming Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty set. Once it arrives this February 10th onto MTG Arena, Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty will bring with it an assortment of colorful cyber-ninjas, dastardly biker mice, ancient dragon spirits, and even mechanized goblin samurai!

Unsurprisingly, the actual card mechanics will also be focused around the divide between tradition and innovation, between spirituality and advanced technology. As such, there's plenty of artifact and enchantment synergy, a wide array of nifty vehicles and pilots that can crew them, cards that want you to honorably fight the opponent by only attacking with one super-buffed creature at a time, as well as a couple of surprises best not spoiled just yet.

Square Enix's card-battling RPG Voice of Cards: The Forsaken Maiden is launching on February 17th

[Update #2]: The third game in the series, Voice of Cards: The Beasts of Burden, is launching on September 13th, 2022.

[Update]: The Forsaken Maiden has now arrived, and unfortunately it seems like it has missed the mark compared to the original.

Much like its predecessor Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars, the upcoming Voice of Cards: The Forsaken Maiden is a traditional swords and sorcery RPG where everything is done through the use of cards. You'll explore the world by moving around cards, you'll fight enemies by flinging cards at their face, and you'll make important decisions by choosing between different cards to respond with.

The idea behind the two games is to recreate a sort of Dungeons & Dragons like experience where your only view into the world and the characters comes from the dungeon master running the whole adventure. It's a pretty neat idea, and judging by the reviews for The Isle Dragon Roars, one that Square Enix has executed rather well.

[Update #2]: Dying Light 2's very first story-focused DLC Bloody Ties will be launching on November 10th, 2022.

[Update]: My review for Dying Light 2 is now up, and I'm happy to say that it's a somewhat misguided yet still highly entertaining bandit-kicking simulator!

It took many years, and just as many delays, but Dying Light 2 has now finally made its way to both PC and consoles. It brings with it a massive open-world to parkour in, hordes upon hordes of zombies to accidentally fall directly on top of, an assortment of factions to befriend or antagonize, as well as support for four-player co-op to really spice things up.

If you're curious what some of this looks like in actual gameplay, as well as what the story is even about, allow me to share with you one of the recent trailers. Have a gander:

In an incredibly brief announcement over at Twitter, Rockstar Games have just revealed that they have begun work on the next big entry in the Grand Theft Auto series. The actual details are currently few and far between, so whether this will be GTA VI or some kind of spin-off game, nobody outside of Rockstar really knows.

"With every new project, our goal is always to significantly move beyond what we've previously delivered," reads the update. "We look forward to sharing more as soon as we are ready, so please stay tuned to the Rockstar Newswire for official details. On behalf of our entire team, we thank you all for your support and cannot wait to step into the future with you!"

[Update]: Achilles: Legends Untold has now arrived, and while it does show promise it's still a bit rough around the edges.

In a bit of an usual combination of genres, the upcoming Achilles: Legends Untold is a Diablo-inspired action-RPG with healthy smattering of Souls-like mechanics. In other words, you'll not only need to slice and dice through large groups of enemies, but also take great care of your positioning and timing as they'll often be the only things keeping you from becoming a colorful stain on the floor.

Since the combat system is the very core of Achilles, and also something that happens to be tricky to describe through words alone, allow me to stop yammering and instead share with you the original reveal trailer. It should clue you in quite quickly on just what Achilles: Legends Untold is trying to do. [Update #2]: Dota 2's Update 7.31b has now landed with fixes for some of the newfound balance problems.

[Update]: Dota 2's Update 7.31 has added the Primal Beast hero, reworked Techies and rebalanced all jungle creeps.

When it comes to announcing big updates, especially highly anticipated ones, most studios would take the approach that ensures as many people as possible see the planned release date. Valve, however, has a... different way of doing things.

So in a brief announcement tucked away at the bottom of a blog post about a random sale on treasure chests, Valve has just revealed that Dota 2's long-awaited Patch 7.31 will be launching on February 23, 2022! And no, I'm not actually joking. That is official!
