After suffering a rather lengthy delay due to the pandemic messing everything up, the Life is Strange Remastered Collection has now finally made its way to both PC and consoles. The freshly remastered version brings with it improved visuals for both characters and environments, greatly enhanced character animations, lighting and engine tweaks, and most importantly, all of the content from Life is Strange and Before the Storm in one convenient package!

[Update #2]: Total War: Warhammer 3 has now finally arrived, though not without some technical trouble.

[Update]: Creative Assembly has now detailed the rather massive changes to Chaos corruption.

As a part of the most recent announcement, Creative Assembly revealed Total War: Warhammer 3's final and most unique launch faction - Chaos Undivided led by a Daemon Prince of your own creation! By doing a variety of tasks to honor the Chaos gods your Daemon Prince will be given thematic new body parts and weapons, daemonic units to play around with, as well as ridiculously powerful abilities to go along with his newfound status as a demigod.

If you're curious what all of this madness looks like in actual gameplay, allow me to share with you two of the previews. The first one is a brief cinematic showing off some of the customization options, while the second one is a pure gameplay preview giving you a close up look at what Daniel the Daemon can do with the Chaos Undivided faction. CDPR is working on a new singleplayer-focused card game adventure based on The Witcher 3's Gwent

[Update #3]: CDPR has finally unleashed the roguelike singleplayer expansion for Gwent - Rogue Mage.

[Update #2]: It looks like CD Projekt Red has kept them selves quite busy! In addition to the new Witcher and Gwent games, they have now announced a new Cyberpunk 2077 expansion, as well as a spin-off game.

[Update]: CD Projekt Red has announced that The Witcher 4 is currently being made in Unreal Engine 5!

While it never did become highly popular, mostly because it was delayed over and over again, Gwent's singleplayer spin-off Thronebreaker was a remarkably fun game. Perhaps a bit too easy on the gameplay side of things, but the ability to dive deep into the Witcher universe and learn about all sorts of fascinating characters more than made up for it.

A fair bit of time has gone by since then, and it seems that CDPR has now finally decided to give the concept another chance with project Golden Nekker. The details are still shrouded in mystery, but according to IGN's brief reveal CDPR is looking to provide a “captivating single-player for players who prefer it over competitive multiplayer Gwent.”

[Update #2]: World of Warcraft has now added cross-faction grouping along with Dark Ranger themed character customization options for elves!

[Update]: World of Warcraft: Shadowlands' final major Update 9.2 - Eternity's End has now been unleashed!

One of the very worst things about World of Warcraft, and one that I frequently ran into over the years, is finding out a friend of yours also plays the game... but on the opposite faction. It was always a moment of pure elation, immediately followed by the crushing realization that you two can never play together without investing an insane amount of hours catching up on a new character.

With that in mind, I am beyond excited to say that after a decade of these types of complaints, Blizzard has finally listened! As a part the still distant Update 8.2.5, World of Warcraft will allow both factions to team up in order to do Mythic dungeons, raids and all forms of rated PvP!

If you were eager to see what Evil Dead: The Game would look like once it launched at some point this February, I'm afraid I have some bad news to deliver. According to a recent announcement Evil Dead: The Game has now been pushed back to May 13th, which quite fittingly happens to be a Friday!

"When we set out to create a brand new game worthy of the Evil Dead franchise, we knew it had to be groovy as hell," explains the brief developer update. "This delay gives our team the time they need to get things just right, so your boomstick will be polished, fully loaded, and ready to blast Deadites."

[Update]: Prepare to die over and over again as the Ashes of Vados expansion has now arrived.

After greatly expanding the world and fixing many of the post-launch complaints with the chunky Afterlife update, the Souls-like Metroidvania Death's Gambit is now getting ready for its very first paid DLC - Ashes of Vados. You can expect to see it launch onto PC this February 10th, while the Switch and PlayStation versions will be arriving at some point in Spring.

In terms of content, Ashes of Vados will bring with it the continuation of the main storyline along with a climactic boss fight against Ash. Should you manage to succeed, you will also unlock a drastically different and much more challenging version of the encounter called "The Eldritch Hand!" Keeping on with the theme, there will also be devious new platforming challenges to overcome in the appropriately named Halls of Cruelty.
