If you're a fan of 'boomer' shooters and the idea of smashing through hordes upon hordes of mutated fishmen and other Lovecraftian monstrosities sounds like a jolly good time, you might want to check out the freshly released Forgive Me Father. Expect to see a variety of high-powered weapons, moody levels with plenty of secrets to uncover, as well as a madness system that changes up both the visuals and the gameplay.

I haven't played it myself so take the following with a few grains of salt, but judging by the reviews so far it looks like Forgive Me Father both looks and plays well, though the encounter and level design seems to be a bit on the simplistic side of things. So if you decide to dive into Forgive Me Father, it might be a good idea to check out some more gameplay videos, just to be sure it's the type of 'boomer' shooter you'd truly enjoy.
