[Update #2]: MTG Arena's Dominaria United set has now arrived alongside the annual Standard rotation.
[Update]: After a brief round of teasers, all of Dominaria United's cards have now been revealed.
If you're tired of the current Standard meta and you're itching for something new and exciting, you'll be happy to hear that the next big set, Dominaria United, will be launching on September 1st, 2022. It'll bring with it a whole bunch of new cards to play around with, the annual Standard rotation that will see Zendikar Rising, Kaldheim, Strixhaven and Adventures in the Forgotten Realms leave Standard legality, as well as a rather massive escalation in the war against Phyrexia.
What I mean by that last bit, that you can find out in the teaser trailer below featuring one of Magic's oldest planeswalkers - Ajani. Have a gander:

Continuing on with their long streak of bringing back cult classic games from yesteryear, THQ Nordic has now announced that the 1999 action-adventure Outcast is getting a brand new sequel! Outcast 2 - A New Beginning will give you the opportunity to explore a giant open world with the help of a fancy jetpack, customize your weaponry in a variety of different ways in order to take down hordes of robotic invaders, as well as slowly but surely unravel the secrets of Outcast's mysterious world.

[Update]: After lengthy delays, Metal Slug Tactics will finally be launching on November 5th, 2024!
I hope you like hearing about interesting games get delayed over and over again, because I have a brand new one to tell you about! Metal Slug Tactics, a turn-based adaptation of the popular run'n'gun series, will not be releasing this year as previously planned, but rather at some point in 2023.
"Rest assured, we are working really hard to make Metal Slug Tactics as explosive as possible on release, but for that, we need a bit more time in the shop to prepare for the battles ahead," explains the very brief update. "Soldiers, we would like to thank you all for the everlasting love and support you have given us since the reveal. See you in 2023!"

[Update #2]: Immortal Empires has now been unleashed alongside Total War: Warhammer 3's biggest update ever!
[Update]: The final Immortal Empires preview showcases everything coming with Total War: Warhammer 3's biggest update yet.
For reasons that I will probably never understand, Total War: Warhammer 3 launched without any sort of blood and gore effects. Because of this you can end up in bizarre situations where hordes of bloodletters, servants of the blood god, are massacring their foes while standing in gigantic pools of blood overlooking a blood fountain, without actually spilling even a tiny bit of blood themselves - that would apparently be too much!
Thankfully, this charade will soon be over as Total War: Warhammer 3's August 23rd update will bring with it the long, long awaited Blood for the Blood God pack. Here's what it'll look like in action:

If you were hoping to get your hands on Evil West this September and start smashing your way through hordes of monstrosities, I'm afraid I have a bit of bad news to deliver. According to the latest developer update, Evil West has now been pushed back until November 20th, 2022.
"We are working our very best to achieve our vision of Evil West, and to meet your expectations," explains the brief announcement. "Evil West releases on five platforms, including multiple generations of consoles. Giving our game more polish is crucial to provide our players with not only good but also lasting memories. That's something that we've always pursued."

[Update #2]: Overwatch 2 has now unveiled its very first support hero - the wall-climbing, fox themed healer Kiriko. The Blizzard team has also taken this opportunity to detail Overwatch 2's Battle Pass, hero unlock system, as well as their plans for future updates.
[Update]: Overwatch's September 13th Last Chance event will give you one last shot at spending your Credits.
Last year Blizzard made a huge step forward for Overwatch and brought in cross-platform multiplayer. However, while you could play with your friends regardless of their platform, actually playing on multiple platforms yourself was a massive annoyance since your progress wouldn't carry over between them.
Thankfully, all of this will soon be a thing of the past. Starting today, anyone logging in on the console version of the game will be prompted to link together all of their accounts. The one big catch is that you'll only be able to merge with one account per platform, so while you can have PC-Xbox-PlayStation-Switch linked together, you won't be able to do the same with PC-Xbox-Xbox for example.

[Update]: Tempest Rising's lengthy developer-guided preview offers a closer look at the campaign and gameplay mechanics.
If you're a fan of the oldschool Command & Conquer games and you mourn the direction the series took before its unceremonious demise, you might want to keep an eye on the upcoming Tempest Rising. To put it simply, it's a classic base building RTS with three asymmetrical factions featuring an assortment of unique units, playstyles and economies to wrangle with.
As for what all of this looks like in actual gameplay, as well as how exactly it ties into Command & Conquer, that you can find out by giving the reveal trailer below a moment of your time. Have a gander:

[Update]: Street Fighter 6 will be launching onto PC and consoles on June 2, 2023 alongside 18 characters.
While Street Fighter 6's release date is still a nebulous 'at some point in 2023', Capcom has at least kept things interesting by slowly revealing new characters. So far they've confirmed Ryu, Luke, Jamie, Chun-Li and Guile, while the latest preview has added Kimberly and Juri to the list.
What the two of them look like in action, as well as what their fighting style is all about, that you can get a bit of a sneak peek at through the gameplay preview below. Have a gander:

[Update]: Right on cue, Guild Wars 2 has now been unleashed onto Steam alongside a massive update.
After teasing the Steam version for a very, very long time at this point, ArenaNet has finally spilled the beans! In celebration of the game's 10th anniversary, Guild Wars 2 and its expansions will be heading over to Steam on August 23rd.
Much like the current version of Guild Wars 2, all of the base content (barring some small restrictions to free accounts) will be available for free on Steam. Once you're done exploring the world you can continue your adventure by grabbing either the Heart of Thorns & Path of Fire expansion bundle, the newest End of Dragons expansion, or the pack containing all of the Living World episodes.

[Update]: The price increase has now arrived, and I can only hope the DLC quality will rise with it as well.
If any of the two smaller Crusader Kings 3 DLCs interest you (Northern Lords and Fate of Iberia), you might want to grab them sooner rather than later. I say this because Paradox has just announced that these Flavor Packs, and any coming in the future, will be going up from $6,99 to $12,99.
"As of September 13, we will be altering the prices of our Flavor Packs (Northern Lords and Fate of Iberia) to reflect the overall value of this kind of content moving forward," explains the brief update. "The price change will not affect the price of the Base Game, Royal Court, or the Royal Edition—those prices will remain unaffected. If you are already a holder of the Royal Edition or Expansion Pack 1, you are all set and nothing will change for you and your versions of the game."
