Street Fighter 6 fighting game artwork showing off all 18 of the basic characters

After a whole bunch of teasers and previews, Capcom has now finally revealed that Street Fighter 6 will be launching onto PC and consoles on June 2nd, 2023. The newest version of the fighting game classic will bring with it greatly enhanced visuals courtesy of the RE Engine, a story-focused singleplayer mode where you can create a brand new character and use them to explore the world, a new real-time commentary system to add a bit of hype to the matches, as well as eighteen characters to mess around with.

Speaking of which, Capcom has taken this opportunity to unveil four of them. Long story short, once Street Fighter 6 arrives you can expect to see Super Street Fighter II's Dee Day make an appearance alongside three rather outlandish new fighters: the stylish and grappling focused Manon, the slow yet incredibly powerful Marisa, as well as the control and area-denial orientated JP.

What these four characters look like, as well as what their movesets are even all about, that you can check out through the recently posted pre-order trailer. Have a gander:

If you don't feel like waiting until June take Street Fighter 6 for a spin, make sure to keep an eye out for the next Closed Beta test. The second one has only just concluded so chances are you'll have to wait a short while in order to get in on the action, but given the positive impressions so far it looks like it'll be well worth it.

Whatever your plans may be, you can keep track of the beta tests, as well as learn more about Street Fighter 6 in general, over at the official website. Enjoy!
