Pillars of Eternity 2 characters

When Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire first begun its Fig crowndfunding campaign Obsidian put multi-classing as the initial stretch goal. This naturally led to some concerns about balance, because trying to keep a couple of classes relatively equal is a nearly impossible task, let alone trying to do the same balancing act with fifty of them!

In order to put some of these concerns to rest Obsidian has recently posted a detailed video going over how exactly multi-classing will work in Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire. If this sounds incredibly boring to you, worry not as Game Director Josh Sawyer has quite the talent for making explanations interesting. Anyway, here's the video:

WWE 2K17 official screenshot

After being available on consoles since last fall, WWE 2K17 has now finally made its way to Steam as well. While the DLC isn't free like in the previous versions, you at the very least get a couple of added benefits for waiting this long for the PC version: WCW Goldberg with black tights and WWE Godlberg with black and white tights as playable characters, as well as two extra arenas to mess around with.

If you're wondering what all of this might look like in action, here's the recently posted launch trailer. There's not much straight-up gameplay in there, but you probably already know what you're getting into with a WWE game. Anyway, here's the video:

If you feel that the balance in Overwatch just isn't there yet, worry not as the next patch will give you the ability to essentially balance the various games modes to your liking. And best of all, due to the upcoming Server Browser you'll also be able to easily find other people to play with... assuming your newly created mode is actually enjoyable to mess around in.

While the concept itself may be quite simple, there has been a surprising amount of thought put into this new system. So if you're wondering about all of the details, allow me to share with you the recent Developer Update video as Overwatch's Game Director Jeff Kaplan does a damn good job of explaining everything you need to know. Have a look:

Bastion from the Last Bastion animated short

After being the very worst hero for the entirety of Overwatch's post-launch existence, Bastion's time to shine has finally come! The recent PTR update has brought with it a massive increase to Bastion's survivability at the expense of Sentry Mode damage, while also making him much more accurate in Recon Mode... so much so that he now feels like a bulkier version of Soldier 76.

There's also a bunch of changes for other heroes in this new PTR patch. Most notably, D.Va and Mercy have received some much needed buffs, while the newly added Ability Sensitivity slider will ensure Ana's Nano Boosts no longer end up on Lucio players wall-riding half a kilometer away from the fight itself. If you're interested in all of the details you can find them over at the official forums, but for now here are all of the hero changes:

If you feel the urge to stock up on a whole bunch of games, you might want to check out the currently ongoing Humble 'Bandai Namco 2' bundle. The highlights include: Enslaved - Odyssey to the West, Warhammer 40,000 - Eternal Crusade, as well as Tales of Zestiria.

In total the bundle features nine games spread across four tiers, though there is a mystery game coming tomorrow to bolster the second tier. And if you're wondering what all of these games are, here's the brief list, as well as how much you'll need to spend in order to unlock each of the tiers:

Torment: Tides of Numenera main character surrounded by beasts

Torment: Tides of Numenera is an upcoming story-focused RPG heavily inspired by Planescape: Torment. As you might expect given its pedigree, Tides of Numenera will allow you to solve your problems in a variety of ways, be that through stealth, diplomacy, or sheer brute force.

The peaceful and dialogue-heavy way of solving quests was already featured in one of the previous videos, but if diplomacy ends up failing you're going to have to take matters into your own hands... quite literally. So if you're wondering what the combat is all about, then the most recent video is for you. It doesn't really delve deep into the mechanics themselves, but it should still give you a good overview of all the various aspects of combat. Have a look:

Solforge official artwork

Stone Blade Entertainment announced back in early January that they are ceasing all development on SolForge after more than five years of work. According to the brief message the servers were supposed to shut down on January 31st, but there appears to be a rather fortunate change of plans!

Due to the intervention from Grinding Gear Games, the amazing folks behind the equally amazing Path of Exile, the SolForge servers will continue running for the foreseeable future. There will be interruptions in play over the coming weeks as the developers transfer the project to a smaller server, but your collections should remain completely intact.

If you're interested in all of the details, here's the full announcement message:

A lovely race car from Mafia 3 - screenshot

If you're willing to overlook Mafia 3's flaws and would like to continue the story, you might be interested to hear that the developers have just detailed their plans for the upcoming paid story content. There will be three new chapters in total: "Faster, Baby!" at the end of March, "Stones Unturned" in May, and "Sign of the Times" in July. If you own the Season Pass all three of the story chapters will automatically unlock for you, while the rest will need to purchase them at a currently unknown price.

As far as the actual content is concerned, "Faster, Baby!" is going to be all about fast cars, dramatic chases, and "epic stunt driving" as you join forces with Roxy Laveau in order to take down a corrupt Sherrif. If you're up for a more serious narrative, "Stones Unturned" will have Lincoln joining forces with the CIA in order to settle a blood feud that began in the war-torn jungles of Vietnam. And finally, in the "Sign of the Times" chapter you will be hunting down a cult responsible for a string of ritualistic killings, a quest that will lead you to the seedy underbelly of the inner city.

Total War: Warhammer Terry Battle Map Editor screenshot featuring a human town

If you aren't satisfied with the current state of sieges in Total War: Warhammer and really want to make something special, you're in luck as the official Battle Map Editor is slated to arrive later this month. Once it comes it will bring with it pretty much everything you need to create a proper Total War: Warhammer map, everything from props and environment models, to SFX and VFX. But most importantly of all, it will come with an easy one-click export and Steam Workshop support, so you'll be able to easily share and download a whole variety of maps.

The catch is that the maps will only work in custom and multiplayer battles, so if you were hoping to adjust some of the campaign maps I'm afraid you're out of luck. On the positive side, the modding scene for Total War: Warhammer has proven to be surprisingly crafty, so who knows, maybe they'll figure out a way to import these maps into the campaign!

That aside, if you're wondering what Battle Map Editor looks like in action, here's the recently posted preview video that covers almost every aspect of it:

Zandora from Gigantic using her charge attack

It has only been two weeks since the first major update for Gigantic arrived, and already the developers are announcing the second one - Eternal Dawn. Once Eternal Dawn finally arrives on February 23rd it will bring with it a brand new hero by the name of Zandora, the competitive leaderboard, and naturally, a whole bunch of skins to make your characters as fancy as humanly possible.

Unlike the previous update, however, Eternal Dawn will also come with a couple of follow-up updates. The first and most important of these will arrive on March 9th with the Storm Drake - a brand new creature that's capable of using chain-lightning, while the next three weeks will each bring with them a couple of interesting cosmetics.
