Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare screenshot of a futuristic city

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is a fairly divisive game, with one camp claiming its one of the best the series has ever produced, while the other considers it one of the absolute worst. If you feel like giving it a try and seeing for yourself what all of the fuss is about, you now have a chance to do so as Infinite Warfare is free to try out on Steam.

The offer will only last until 1pm PST / 6pm GMT this Sunday, so make sure to jump in as soon as possible or you might just miss the free weekend. If you do end up enjoying Infinite Warfare, however, you'll be glad to hear that it will remain on a 50% discount until March 2nd. As such, make sure to get plenty of playtime in before you decide whether Infinite Warfare is worth unsealing your wallet for!

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided A Criminal Past DLC screenshot of Adam

If you're itching to get back into Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, you might be glad to hear that the second and most likely final story DLC "A Criminal Past" has now arrived. Throughout the short campaign you'll need to pose as a convict and infiltrate a high-security prison, track down and retrieve sensitivity information, and ideally make it out without raising too many alarms.

For those of you looking for a bit more information here's the recently posted launch trailer. As far as spoilers are concerned there's pretty much nothing to worry about given how the video covers only the basic plot elements, so feel free to give it a look:

After being surprisingly quiet for pretty much the entirety of last year, Bioware has now finally begun releasing tons and tons of Mass Effect: Andromeda info. If you've managed to miss any of it you can find the first video covering weapons and skills over here, and the second video featuring squad based tactics and gameplay variety over yonder.

On the other hand, if you want to take a break from all of the action and instead feel like checking out some of the recently posted character close-ups, you'll find them down below. If any of the images catches your eye simply click on it to open a bigger version. Anyway, have a look:

Civilization VI official promo artwork

If you're not exactly happy with the current state of Civilization VI and feel like you have a couple of ideas that might help, you're in luck as the most recent update has brought with it both modding tools and Steam Workshop support. In other words, you can now create, share, and download custom content, as well as mess around with all of the things present in the game itself.

Besides modding tools the update has also brought with it a couple of balance changes, an improved AI that will now actually use airplanes, multiplayer teams, as well as a variety of bug fixes. If you're interested in all of the details you'll find the full patch notes over here, but if you're just looking for all of important changes, here they are:

Overwatch Numbani Airport attack that destroyed OR15 defense bots

A couple of days ago Blizzard released an 'interview' with inventor Efi Oladele during which they heavily hinted towards the existence of an Omnic hero. The spotlight instantly fell on the much-anticipated Doomfist, but the developers were quick to state that this new hero is not someone we've seen mentioned previously.

The story became a lot more interesting earlier today, however, as Blizzard posted an image of a fairly devastated Numbani airport. As you might remember, one of the final lines in Efi's interview was about her upcoming flight, so this attack clearly had something to do with either her or her invention.

Dawn of War 3 artwork for the Eldar faction

Dawn of War 3 is an upcoming real-time strategy game set in the grim darkness of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. It is the third main game in the Dawn of War series, though the actual gameplay is styled after the original Dawn of War with a heavy focus on base-building and absolutely massive armies.

If you're wondering what all of this might look like in action, and what the story is going to be about, here's the most recent "Prophecy of War" trailer. There's not much in terms of spoilers in here, so even if you want a completely 'pure" playthrough feel free to watch the video. Anyway, have a look:

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy promo screenshot

If you're like me you probably assumed that the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy (or rather the modern remasters of Crash Bandicoot, Cortex Strikes back, and Warped) will be PlayStation exclusive, but apparently that's only going to be a time-limited thing. According to PlayStation Ireland "it will be coming to PlayStation 4 and PS4 Pro first", though how long the exclusivity will last nobody was willing to say.

Since this collection of remasters has nothing to do with Sony or Naughty Dog, and since its no longer PlayStation exclusive, chances are high that it will eventually make its way to PC, Xbox One, and perhaps even Nintendo Switch. And if it does I will be one very happy marsupial since the PlayStation 1 has been the only console I've ever owned, and the Crash series one of the rare few games that have managed to occupy my attention for any lengthy period of time.

Mass Effect: Andromeda will bring with it a new and improved version of Mass Effect 3's combat system. It will feature many of the same abilities and strategies, but without any of the previous limitations, which should go a long way towards creating new and interesting playstyles to mess around with.

If you're wondering how far this system will really go, make sure to check out the most recent gameplay preview as it focuses on combat variety, player skills, and squad-based tactics. And don't worry about spoilers, outside of the names of your followers there is absolutely nothing story related in here. Anyway, here's the video:

Crusader Kings 2's Monks & Mystics DLC screenshot from trailer

Even though its five-years-old at this point Paradox is still pumping new content into Crusader Kings 2. The most recent The Reaper's Due DLC brought with it the black plague and a variety of other physical maladies, while the upcoming Monks & Mystics DLC will focus more on the spiritual side of things, as well as secret societies.

If that sounds like something you might be interested in, here's the relatively recent teaser trailer. It doesn't feature any gameplay, but it does a damn good job of setting the mood for the whole expansion. Anyway, have a look:

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA screenshot featuring a giant dragon

Besides being incredibly strange to actually write down, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA is an upcoming action RPG and the long-awaited eight installment of the Ys series. It has been available for quite a while now for the PlayStation Vita in Japan, but soon it will be available in the west as well. The exact date isn't currently known, but what I can tell you is that the English version will arrive for the PC, PS4, and Vita in Fall 2017.

And if you're wondering what the latest Ys game might look like in action, you'll find the full trailer down below. Unfortunately there is no English version just yet, so you'll have to settle for watching the gameplay and cinematics without any actual context. Here's the video:
