Heroes of the Storm screenshot of Junkrat from the trailer

We've known about Junkrat's arrival to Heroes of the Storm for nearly a month now, but despite the developers releasing a rather awesome cinematic trailer we pretty much had zero information on his abilities and playstyle, though that last part wasn't exactly hard to guess. As such, I am glad to say that Blizzard has now finally released an official hero spotlight video for Junkrat!

So if you're interested in seeing what sort of abilities Junkrat has at his disposal, as well as what exactly changed during his transfer to Heroes of the Storm, you'll find the recent developer video right below. Have a look, its quite an interesting one:

Star Wars Battlefront 2 screenshot of Starfighter Assault combat

Star Wars Battlefront 2's Open Beta was supposed to end on October 9th, but in a bit of a surprise announcement EA has just extended it by two more days. So if you haven't managed to give it a try just yet, make sure to head over to Origin as soon as possible since the Open Beta will only last until Wednesday, October 11th.

In terms of content you can expect to see a small slice of pretty much everything Star Wars Battlefront 2 has to offer, though without any of the singleplayer campaign missions. The definite highlight is the massive battle on Naboo, a battle you might remember from the E3 reveal ceremony, but there are also a couple of side modes such as Starfighter Assault that lets you fly around in space with some of the most iconic Star Wars ships, as well as a small-scale skirmish on Takodana.

Q.U.B.E. 2 screenshot of a cherry tree in a very cubic world

Q.U.B.E. 2 is an upcoming puzzle-exploration game that will have you step into the shoes of Amelia Cross, a British archaeologist that finds herself trapped on a strange alien planet. As you might imagine, in order to escape you'll have to face the increasingly tricky challenges and puzzles found within the Q.U.B.E., as well as learn what in the world is even happening.

Since trying to explain a puzzle game through words alone is not exactly an easy feat, I am very glad to say that the developers have now posted a lengthy gameplay preview video. Its still early gameplay footage so you might encounter some minor problems with the visuals and overall polish, but it should still offer a good look at just what Q.U.B.E. 2 is all about. Have a gander:

Overgrowth screenshot of two bunnies fighting

Overgrowth is an incredibly detailed 3D action game where you get to beat up hordes of enemies as an anthropomorphic bunny with a serious case of anger management issues. You can fight your enemies in hand-to-hand combat, take them down through stealth, throw them onto environmental hazards in order to deal with them quickly, and the list goes on for quite a while. All of this might sound simple, but it has taken Overgrowth more than nine years to get everything just right!

With the official release now looming ever-closer, the developers have finally achieved one of their biggest milestones - a full story campaign. The recently posted trailer won't show you much in terms of story, but it will give you a pretty damn good idea of just what to expect from the campaign itself. Have a look, its quite a flashy video:

ELEX official artwork with logo

ELEX is an upcoming post-apocalyptic open-world RPG from Piranha Bytes, the creators of the Risen and Gothic series. While the setting might sound a bit generic, it is not a nuclear or zombie-infested apocalypse we're talking about, but rather one where a massive meteor basically wiped out most of humanity in one fell swoop. As you might imagine, the downfall of civilization quickly brought about the rise of various military groups, groups that would love nothing more than to reshape the new world in their own image.

So if you're interested in seeing what ELEX looks like in-game, as well as what the various factions are all about, you'll find three of the most recent videos down below. They're all individually short, but they'll give you a pretty good idea of the kind of universe ELEX takes place in. Have a look:

Age of Empires 4 screenshot of a Greek warrior

[Update #2]: Relic has just unveiled a full-length multiplayer match between the Holy Roman Empire and Rus factions.

[Update]: Age of Empires 4's newest gameplay preview shows off a mixture of nostalgia and innovation.

If you're like me and you've somehow managed to completely miss this announcement during gamescom 2017, you might be glad to hear that Relic Entertainment is now working on the long-awaited Age of Empires 4! There are basically no details available right now, but given how Relic has the Homeworld, Dawn of War, and Company of Heroes series of RTS games under their belt I would say its worth getting cautiously optimistic about Age of Empires 4.

The most recent teaser trailer is similarly devoid of information and gameplay details, but on the positive side it does have some rather lovely artwork and narration! Have a look, its not a very long video:

God Eater 3 early screenshot of our main character

In the most basic terms, the God Eater series can be compared with Monster Hunter. Its all about wondering through the world and hunting down gigantic monstrosities, messing around with a variety of different character builds and weapons, crafting more powerful gear in order to hunt down even bigger monsters, and so forth. Besides tons and tons of combat the God Eater series also focuses on storytelling, though your enjoyment of it will greatly depend on your tolerance of JRPG tropes.

With that little bit of an introduction aside, you might be interested to hear that God Eater 3 has now been officially announced! There are basically no details available as of right now, but what I can share is the recently posted in-game trailer, as well as the brief plot synopsis that came along with the announcement. Hitman screenshot from Episode 3 in Marakesh

After going through a bit of a rough separation from Square Enix, IO Interactive appears to have now gotten back into the groove as far as Hitman updates are concerned. Just this month alone we'll be getting 20 new Featured Contracts, 10 of which will be curated by a British speedrunner by the name of Hatch, as well as a Master Scarecrow Challenge Pack that comes with a whole bunch of Halloween themed cosmetics.

The first of these Featured Contracts will be coming on October 13th alongside the Master Scarecrow Challenge Pack. Expect to see 10 new Contracts, 5 new challenges that offer a high amount of location mastery, as well as the above mentioned Halloween cosmetics. If you're wondering what exactly these cosmetics look like, I'm afraid you'll have to wait until next week in order to find out. While the release date for the second pack of Featured Contracts has not yet been announced you can expect to see them in late October, so don't feel the need to rush though all of the challenges as soon as possible - you'll have plenty of time for all of the new content.

Telltale's Batman: The Enemy Within screenshot of the Joker

After a short delay since its initial release back in August, the second season of Telltale's Batman adventure game series has now resumed with Episode 2: The Pact. The story details are being kept secret for obvious reasons, but what I can tell you is that we will be following Bruce as he attempts to infiltrate a powerful criminal organization. As you might image, he'll find himself stuck way too deep, leaving it up to us as the players to find a way to salvage the whole situation.

The most recent trailer features a few tiny spoilers, so if you don't mind seeing what sort of characters will appear throughout Episode 2 you'll find the trailer right below. Have a look, its quite intriguing:

Jurassic World Evolution official artwork without logo

While the details are still in short supply, Jurassic World Evolution appears to be a spiritual success to Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis. In gameplay terms this means you'll be able to not only create and maintain your very own Jurassic Park, but also bioengineer entirely new dinosaur species. In order to ensure your experiments don't eat half of the island's population you will need to construct a variety of containment and research facilities, as well as attractions necessary to fuel your endless pursuit for ever-larger dinosaurs.

The recently posted in-game trailer does not offer much in terms of gameplay details, but what it lacks in substance it makes up with sheer amounts of dinosaurs! So if you're interested in seeing what Jurassic World Evolution will look and sound like, you'll find the trailer right below. Have a gander:
