Killing Floor 2 Is Adding Versus Multiplayer (Play As The Mutants), Difficulty Adjustments, And More

Killing Floor 2 is getting a versus multiplayer mode

The original Killing Floor is one of my favorite co-op games as it simply has everything: tons of guns, satisfying combat, classes with pros and cons that rely on others, and plenty of ways to dick over your friends without actively ruining anyone's game (praise be to the welding tool).

Killing Floor 2, however, has had a bit of a rocky start in Early Access, but if this upcoming patch is any judge, things are soon going to change as versus multiplayer, variable difficulty, item crafting, and more are being added to significantly bolster the available content. Here are the patch notes, though bear in mind they might change by the time the update finally releases as its currently in testing:

Savage 3: Ressurection has been confirmed

Despite Heroes of Newerth ending up as a bit of a train wreck I have great respect for S2Games, and especially their RTS/FPS hybrid Savage 2 that was years ahead of its time.

Which is why I'm happy to announce that S2Games are working on a brand new installment of the Savage series. Here's all of the currently known information about Savage 3, and a trailer for Savage 2 so you can get an idea of what its all about:

DayZ DirectX 11 update will greatly improve FPS

At this point I'm fairly certain that even people who don't play or care about DayZ know full well how it has some terrifying performance issues when visiting large inhabited areas.

These problems might soon become a thing of the past, however, as the recent Dev Log showcased absolutely massive FPS gains due to the switch from DirectX 9 to DirectX 11 with Enfusion Rendering. Have a look, though be warned, the constant clip-clopping might just drive you insane:

Gears Of War: Ultimate Edition Update 3 Is Arriving Soon - Here's What The Devs Are Working On

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Update 3 is incoming

Its unfortunate that Gears of War: Ultimate Edition released in such a buggy and unfinished state as its population practically evaporated overnight, but I'm glad the developers are still working hard on ironing out all of the remaining kinks.

The upcoming Update 3 brings with it support for ultra-wide resolutions, fixes for mouse sensitivity issues, slightly increased performance, and a couple of bug fixes. Besides the update itself, the developers are also currently working on a couple of other features I will list out below, but first let's start with the patch notes:

Overwatch's 14 Weekly Brawls Have Been Datamined

Overwatch's 14 weekly brawls have been leaked through datamining

The most recent Overwatch beta patch brought with it a new map, match highlights, achievements, and most interestingly, weekly brawls modeled after those found in Hearthstone.

Blizzard only mentioned a couple of examples in their announcement, those being "play only as support heroes" and "everyone must play as Soldier 76", but the crafty dataminers over at Overpwn have managed to find all of the 14 currently available brawl permutations. Here's what they are:

Ark: Survival Evolved Celebrates Easter With Dino-Bunnies And New High Level Zones

ARK: Survival Evolved has dinosaur bunnies now

Back when I first tried out Ark: Survival Evolved it seemed to be just this generic blend between dinosaurs, crafting, and modern military weapons. However, somewhere along the way the developers figured out that realism is a terrible thing to burden oneself with, so they started adding mega-kangaroos, evil beavers, yetis, and eventually even dragons!

Now that Easter is right around the corner the developers are, obviously, adding dino-bunnies as a part of their, you guessed it, Eggcellent Adventure update. Despite the silly name and theme, the update also brings the much anticipated Swamp and Snow Cave areas which are heavily geared towards High Level Survivors and those looking to delve further in to the lore. Here's the trailer:

New Guild Wars 2 Legendary Weapons Have Been Canceled - Developers To Focus On New Living Story Content

Heart of Thorns legendary weapons will not be coming

Before Heart of Thorns released ArenaNet was proudly announcing all of the new features, such as: a new set of legendary gear and weapons, a complete fractal rework and new fractals, a renewed focus on WvW, raids, and the third season of the living story which is to come soon after launch.

Six months later and the only quality, long-lasting content we've received are the raids, so I think you can understand why the community is going just sliiiighly bananas about AreanaNet's announcement that they have stopped developing the legendary weapons they sold the expansion with. Here's the message from ArenaNet's president, Mike O Brien:
