Northgard is a recently announced viking-themed strategy game from the developers behind the Evoland series. While the full details are still currently unknown, the main gameplay premise behind Northgard revolves around exploring and conquering new lands, establishing self-sustaining settlements and villages, befriending or waging war against the rather strange locals, and naturally, achieving victory through numerous means.
Since trying to explain what a strategy game is all about through words alone is a nearly impossible task, Shiro Games have just recently posted a gameplay video showcasing Northgard in its early alpha state. Have a look, its quite interesting:
The first bug fixing patch for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has arrived on PC

Given that the critics are mostly praising Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, one would think that everything is currently perfect, but unfortunately that is not the case. As you'll notice the moment you visit Deus Ex: Mankind Divided's Steam page, there are numerous reports of poor performance, constant crashing, and a whole host of other such annoying bugs.
Thankfully, the developers didn't just wait for the storm to pass by as they have just recently pushed out the very first bug fixing patch aimed at some of the most "critical issues", i.e. the constant crashing. Here are the brief, but hopefully significant patch notes:
Dark Souls 3's Ashes of Ariandel DLC is coming on October 25th

In a massive contrast to the rest of the gaming industry, the Souls series has only ever received sparse amounts of DLC, but they were all of such high quality that I doubt anyone would complain if FromSoftware released more. Even now, despite Dark Souls 3 being a truly amazing game, I consider the Dark Souls 2 DLC pack as the very best example of Dark Souls gameplay.
With that in mind, I have some great news to share - Dark Souls 3's Ashes of Ariandel DLC is coming on October 25th! If you're interested in a bit of a sneak peek at some of the bosses and locations you're going to be dying at, here's the recently posted trailer:
The closed alpha for Chivalry developer's Mirage: Arcane Warfare will begin in September

- in News
Following the success of Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, Torn Banner Studios have decided to take things to the next extreme by creating Mirage: Arcane Warfare. As you can probably guess from the name alone, it features plenty of hand to hand combat and ridiculous dismemberment physics, all spiced up with a hearty dosage of fireballs and magical explosions.
Mirage is still currently in its early stages, but if you would like to have your voice heard throughout the development process you'll be happy to know that the closed alpha test will begin in September. Before we move on to the whole sign up process, its probably for the best if you check out a relatively recent gameplay trailer in order to get a good idea of what Mirage: Arcane Warfare is really all about:
Allison Road, the PT inspired horror game, seems to have been revived
- By Ash
- in News
After Konami made a classic Konami decision and canceled PT, or rather the spiritual sequel to the Silent Hill series, it left many horror game fans with a rather bad taste in their mouth. In order to hopefully recreate even a glimpse of PT's glory many fan projects sprung out, though as you might expect they didn't last for very long. However, out of all the various PT inspired games there was one that actually showed a great deal of promise - Allison Road.
Unfortunately, Allison Road also ended up being canceled as the developers encountered a variety of issues with their publisher and simply had no means of continuing the project with their vision intact. Usually this would be the end of the story, but according to a recent interview IGN did with Allison Road's creator Christian Kesler it appears that development has started once more, though this time as a solo project.
If you're interested in what Kesler had to say I would recommend you read the whole interview, its fairly short, but here's the most interesting quote for all of you Allison Road fans:
Disgaea 2 is coming to Steam in early 2017 with three new playable characters
- By Ash
- in News
Disgaea 2 is a tactical RPG that originally released for the PS2 back in 2006 and is most famous these days for its absolutely insane sense of humor and a leveling system that allows you to infinitely advance your characters. Given that Disgaea 1 ended up being well received on the PC (after some patches anyway), it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that the sequel will be making its way over as well.
According to the recently updated Steam store page, Disgaea 2 will bring with it all of the content from the PS2 and PSP versions, as well as a couple of little additions exclusive to the PC version. This includes things such as an updated UI, keyboard and mouse support, but also three new playable characters that never made their way to the West: Dark Eclair, Gig, and Miabel.
Here's the recently posted PC trailer to hopefully give you an idea of what sort of madness you can get up to with Disgea 2, and the series in general:
The Pathologic remaster/remake has been delayed until Autumn, 2017
- By Ash

The official remake/remaster of Pathologic was successfully Kickstarted back in 2014, gathering a rather sizable $333,127. Ever since then the developers were hard at work on building up a modern version of Pathologic, but as you can probably guess given the title, this was a harder task than anyone could've anticipated.
As such, the estimated delivery date of November, 2016 has been pushed back all the way to the autumn of 2017. Rather than leave you with absolutely nothing in the mean time, the developers have promised a playable demo in the next few months, and more interestingly, an official Steam page filled with new bits of info and screenshots. If you're wondering why exactly Pathologic is being delayed, here's a couple of choice quotes from the Kickstarter announcement:
