[Update #2]: Overwatch 2's Season 2 has now arrived with a new tank hero, escort map, cosmetics, and a bunch of strange balance changes.

[Update]: Blizzard has now detailed Ramattra's every ability and his stance-shifting mechanics.

After going through a slight delay due to some mysterious technical issue, Overwatch 2's very first balance update has now finally arrived. As expected, it brings with it a couple of nerfs to some of the most powerful heroes out there, as well as a set of bizarre yet fairly inconsequential nerfs to Junkrat of all people.

You can find the full list of tweaks and bug fixes over at the Blizzard forums, but for now allow me to share with you all of the major hero rebalances. Have a gander:

The utterly nonsensical yet surprisingly entertaining Goat Simulator 3 has now arrived

If you're in the mood for a nonsensical sandbox game that doesn't take itself even remotely seriously, you might be interested to hear that Goat Simulator 3 has now landed onto PC, PlayStation and Xbox. As you would expect from a sequel that has skipped over '2' and went straight for '3', Goat Simulator 3 is a significantly bigger, intentionally stupider and far more bombastic version of the original.

The biggest and most important difference between the two games is that Goat Simulator 3 has brought with it both online and local multiplayer! So rather than try to cause chaos all on your own, something that gets tiresome after a while since jokes are best shared with friends, you can now invite up to three players to join you on a co-op adventure or a tussle in a variety of mini-games.

[Update]: The heavily exploration focused Dragonflight expansion has now arrived, and so far it's looking quite good!

If you're itching to try out some of Dragonflight's new features like the improved flying mechanics and the new race/class combo, the Dracthyr Evoker, you'll be happy to hear that the World of Warcraft team has now unleashed the second phase of the pre-patch. Besides the new draconic race, the update has also brought with it a revamped version of the Uldaman dungeon, as well as a world-spanning invasion by the Primalists and their elemental lords.

By completing the new events you can acquire a variety of fancy gear, numerous cosmetics, as well as a brand new heirloom trinket. Thanks to the massive experience boost this is also a great time to level new characters, so if you're planning to switch mains or simply try something new in the Dragonflight expansion, this would be the ideal time to get your alts up to snuff.

Terraria devs are working on a Dead Cells crossover, new content and cross-platform multiplayer

Terraria artwork for the 'final' Journey's End expansion

At this point I'm absolutely certain that the lovely folks over at Re-Logic simply do not understand what the word "final" even means. I say this because despite the 'final' Journey's End update launching all the way back in May 2020, the Terraria team is still working on creating brand new toys for us to play with!

While the exact details are still shrouded in mystery, what I can tell you is that a portion of the upcoming Update 1.4.5 will be dedicated to a crossover with Dead Cells. If previous crossovers are any judge this means that Update 1.4.5 will likely bring with it some sort of cosmetic item like a pet or costume, one of the more iconic bosses or enemies from Dead Cells, or perhaps even a bit of both!

Path of Exile's Update 3.20 is making rare monsters more rewarding, easier to understand and less hectic to fight

Path of Exile 2 artwork for the Necromancer class using spells on the undead

As Path of Exile grew and expanded over the years, so did the complexity of its monsters and their special modifiers. This eventually culminated in the Archnemesis monsters that feature a bunch of different effects bundled under a single thematic name, with there being no real way other than trial and error to figure out what they actually do.

Because of this, fighting these types of monsters as an inexperienced player can frequently end up being an absolute nightmare. Sometimes their effects are weak and easy to ignore, sometimes they require you to get a special loot-focused character to finish the monster off in order to maximize the rewards, and sometimes their hidden effects are so flashy and numerous that you won't even be able to see what's happening, let alone dodge all of it. Needless to say, it's a bit of a mess.

[Update #2]: The Witcher 3's big next-gen update has now arrived and, aside from a couple of technical issues, it's been a resounding success.

[Update]: CD Projekt Red has now detailed all of the major improvements coming with The Witcher 3's next-gen update.

If you're considering diving into The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, you might want to exercise a little bit of patience as CD Projekt Red has just announced that the next gen update will be launching this December 14th, 2022 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Most importantly, the next gen update will be entirely free for all owners of The Witcher 3!

The exact list of improvements has not been revealed just yet, but you can expect to see improved visuals, better performance, ray tracing support, as well as a variety of features from popular mods integrated into the base game. The good news doesn't end there, however, as CD Projekt Red is also planning to release a free piece of DLC based on Netflix's The Witcher series, though once again the specifics behind the new additions are still shrouded in mystery.
