Blizzard will be ending support for Windows XP and Vista in October

In an announcement that I must admit comes as a massive surprise, Blizzard has just revealed that they will be ending support for Widows XP and Vista in October. Just to put things into perspective, Microsoft ceased public support for these versions of Windows all the way back in 2009 and 2012 respectively! So hats off to Blizzard, they kept their games compatible for way, way longer than was reasonably expected of them.
There aren't many details available right now, but if you're interested in Blizzard's reasoning behind this change you'll find the full announcement post right below. Have a look:
Mirage: Arcane Warfare has been updated with two new maps, new weapons and spells, as well as bot-assisted servers
- By Ash

Mirage: Arcane Warfare is a spiritual successor to Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, though with the highly armored and constantly screaming knights replaced with magic-wielding assassins and crazed wizards. After a lengthy beta period it officially released back in May, and now two months later it is getting its very first major content update.
The aptly named Gladiator Update brings with it two new arena styled maps to duke it out in, a brand new Greatsword weapon for the hulking Taraunt class, as well as fancy new spells for the Vypress, Alchemancer, and Vigilist to play around with. If you'd like a brief overview of what exactly all of this looks like in action, here's the recently posted trailer:
The combat-focused RPG Absolver has a new video detailing weapons and special powers
- By Ash
- in News
Absolver is not exactly an easy game to explain. In the most basic sense its an online combat RPG with a heavy focus on fluid melee battles, though with the combat style being more alike the one from fighting games rather than classic action-RPGs. However, instead of using predefined skills and abilities like you would see in a fighting game, in Absolver you will be able to customize your fighter's entire move set, combos, blocks and dodges, special spells, and even weapons.
Since trying to explain all of this in a couple of paragraphs is a fool's errand, allow me to share with you the recently posted video that details weapons and spells. You wouldn't think such 'minor' features would need an entire video dedicated to them, but this is Absolver we're talking about and things are never as simple as they seem. Have a look:
Gigantic, an action orientated MOBA most similar to SMITE, has now been released on Steam

Gigantic is a colorful and action-orientated MOBA most similar to SMITE in style. It has been in Open Beta for what feels like forever, and after numerous patches and new heroes it has now finally been officially released. Perhaps most importantly of all, Gigantic can now be found on Steam, as well as the Windows 10 Store.
If you're interested in finding out what Gigantic is all about, allow me to share with you the recently posted launch trailer. Its not overly long, but it'll give you a good idea of just what kind of MOBA Gigantic really is. Have a look:
The release date for Path of Exile's Fall of Oriath expansion has been revealed alongside an action-packed trailer
- By Ash
- in News
Path of Exile is currently preparing for the biggest expansion it has ever seen. Once it arrives The Fall of Oriath will introduce six new acts, thus completely removing the need to replay the same zones in different difficulties, a whole bunch of new enemies including the damnable Bonewheel Skeletons from Dark Souls, a variety of new and intriguing spells to destroy said enemies with, and the list goes on for quite a while.
The Fall of Oriath has been in a Closed Beta status for a rather long time, and as such I am very happy to say that Grinding Gear Games has now finally announced the release date! You can expect to face off against the gods themselves on August 4th, though I highly doubt you'll manage to reach them on the same day given the ridiculous amount of zones that are being added as a part of the expansion.
Telltale has announced brand new seasons for their Batman, Wolf Among Us, and The Walking Dead adventure series
- By Ash
- in News
It turns out the recent Telltale themed Humble Bundle wasn't just a happy coincidence, but rather a way to get a whole bunch of new players invested into Telltale's adventure game series. The reason this is important is because Telltale just announced not one, not two, but rather three new games! Batman and the Wolf Among Us will be getting a second season, while The Walking Dead will be getting its fourth and final iteration!
The first episode of the second Batman season will be arriving on August 8th with a storyline focused entirely on the Riddler. However, there will be some hits pointing you towards future events involving (you guessed it) the Joker, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled. Since the launch date is so close Telltale has also released a brief teaser trailer for Episode 1: The Enemy Within. Have a look:

Aporia: Beyond the Valley is a first-person puzzle-adventure set in a world full of ancient technology and long-overgrown ruins. It is going to be up to you to discover what caused the downfall of the once great civilization, what exactly the miraculous and life-giving amber fluid truly is, and most importantly of all, who in the world are you?
Aporia has been created in CryEngine, so it really shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that it is a gorgeous game with some great atmosphere to it. Since this is a bit difficult to explain through words alone, allow me to share with you the recently posted launch trailer. It will give you a pretty good idea of what to expect from Aporia.
