Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration has now made its way to Linux as well

The macOS version of Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration arrived a couple of days ago, and after a short delay the Linux version has now followed suit as well. Since the name itself isn't exactly descriptive, it is worth mentioning that the 20 Year Celebration edition brings with it the full Rise of the Tomb Raider game and all of the DLC.
As far as the port itself is concerned, both the macOS and Linux versions have not been made by the original developers, but rather by Feral Interactive. If the name doesn't ring any bells, you might know them from their work on the ports of Tomb Raider, Total War: Warhammer 1 and 2, XCOM 2, Dawn of War 3, and the list goes on. From what I can tell there have been very few complaints about the macOS version, so chances are the Linux port will be a decent one as well.
Frostpunk's latest video shows off what the survival-focused city builder is all about

Frostpunk is an upcoming city building and management game set in a frozen wasteland where both humanity and resources are in short supply. In order to survive you will need to create vast cities with the help of steam-powered technology, make difficult moral choices with serious consequences and no easy answers, as well as explore the wilderness in search of other survivors and valuable resources.
If you're wondering how all of this translates into gameplay, allow me to share with you the latest "11 facts about Frostpunk" dev video. It's not very long, but it'll give you a pretty darn good idea of what to expect from Frostpunk. Have a gander:
Dying Light update has added a new stealth-focused mission and the ability to craft subsonic ammo
- By Ash

Aside from avoiding Volatiles at night, there isn't much of a reason to try and sneak around in Dying Light. The combination of powerful weaponry and the grappling hook means you're never in a situation you can't get yourself out of, while the massive shortage of subsonic ammo makes any stealth attempts needlessly expensive.
While stealth is probably still going to play second fiddle to the more action orientated parts of Dying Light, I am very glad to say that the latest update has now added an entire bounty focused around stealth alone - Subterfuge. The trick with Subterfuge is that you can't alert any of the patrolling Volatiles, so in order to survive you will need to carefully use all of your movement options and decoys in order to slip past them. A bit tricky, but if you manage to complete Subterfuge without raising an alarm, you will be granted a permanent blueprint for subsonic ammo so you can go fully silent in the open world as well!
Total War: Warhammer 2 devs appear to be working on updating the original Old World factions

[Update]: Creative Assembly have also announced a major rework of the Skaven food mechanic and four new Monster Hunts for Norsca.
Total War: Warhammer 2 currently features five unique and interesting factions, each of which has a variety of different mechanics to juggle and units to experiment with. While this is most certainly a great thing for all fans of strategy and Total War: Warhammer, it has also unfortunately made some of the original four Old World factions (Greenskins, Vampire Counts, The Empire and Dwarfs) feel incredibly bland by comparison.
As such, I am very glad to say that Creative Assembly appears to be working on updating the Old World factions and bringing them up to Total War: Warhammer 2's standards. There are very few details available right now, but the Dwarf players among you will be glad to hear that they have revealed a brand new unit - the fast moving and armor-piercing Giant Slayers. You can see them in action over here.
The casual puzzle game Peggle is free on Origin as a part of the "On the House" program

If you're one of the few people that have somehow managed to avoid the Peggle craze a while back, you might be interested to hear that EA is now offering it for free as a part of the "On the House" program. Simply head on over to Origin, create or log in with your account, and it'll be yours to keep for good.
Much like all of the other "On the House" promotions, there is currently no end date set for the Peggle giveaway. It usually lasts for around a month, but since there is no definitive date I would suggest you err on the side of caution and grab it as soon as possible, provided you're interested in a casual puzzle game anyway.
Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia's latest preview shows off some truly impressive settlement maps
- By Ash
- in News
While Total War: Warhammer 1 and 2 are my favorite games in the entire Total War series, their settlement battles and sieges are among the most boring, which is especially grating given how often they repeat due to the AI's love of defensive playstyles. As such, I am more than delighted to say that the upcoming Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia will be taking things in the completely different direction by introducing wast, complex and much more interesting settlement maps.
Rather than continue to babble on, allow me to share with you the latest developer preview. It's not a very long video, so if you're a Total War fan I would highly recommend you give it a look - the cities really are that cool to see! Anyway, have a gander:
Fortnite's upcoming update will fix the peeking bug and revert the weapon swap changes for snipers
- By Ash

Epic recently introduced weapon equip times into Fortnite in order to prevent players from launching an entire hailstorm of bullets at each other. While the change itself was a solid and much needed one, the actual implementation left a lot to be desired since many weapons started feeling incredibly clunky to use. As such, I am glad to say that the upcoming Fortnite update will be correcting at least a part of this issue.
"Snipers and Crossbows do not benefit as much from quick switching, so we’ll be reverting the equip time changes for those weapons. We will be keeping the delay for the remaining weapons with the new behavior - Shotguns, Revolver, Hand Cannon, and Rocket Launcher," reads the developer update. "Weapon equip animations will be improved in a future update. These are unfortunately somewhat misleading - it’s possible to fire sooner than the gun appears ready, so they feel more sluggish than they really are. You may notice this on a few weapons."
