While Total War: Warhammer 1 and 2 are my favorite games in the entire Total War series, their settlement battles and sieges are among the most boring, which is especially grating given how often they repeat due to the AI's love of defensive playstyles. As such, I am more than delighted to say that the upcoming Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia will be taking things in the completely different direction by introducing wast, complex and much more interesting settlement maps.
Rather than continue to babble on, allow me to share with you the latest developer preview. It's not a very long video, so if you're a Total War fan I would highly recommend you give it a look - the cities really are that cool to see! Anyway, have a gander:
If you're as eager as I am to march your armies across these streets and see how the AI fares with multi-layered defenses, you'll be glad to hear that Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia will be coming this May 3rd for Windows. The Mac and Linux versions will be following shortly after, though no exact release date has been given just yet.
You can learn more about it, as well as check out some of the other previews, by heading over to the official website. And finally, if you're interested in seeing what's new with the politics & intrigue system, you'll find the answers you seek over here. Enjoy!
