Overwatch's latest hero Wrecking Ball has now grappled his way onto the live servers

After spending quite a bit of time on the PTR, Overwatch's cutest and quite certainly strangest hero has now finally made his way to the live servers. As you're probably well aware from the image above, Wrecking Ball is a sentient, highly intelligent hamster piloting a deadly and ridiculously mobile mech. While I'm not a big fan of Wrecking Ball as a character, his gameplay style more than makes up for any shortcomings as it's just the perfect blend of mobility and burst damage.

If you have no idea what I'm actually talking about, allow me to share with you the recently posted trailer. It's fairly brief and all of the abilities are obviously exaggerated, but it'll still give you a pretty darn good idea of what Wrecking Ball is capable of. Have a gander:

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth's video tells the story of Jaina Proudmoure and her inner conflicts

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth artwork showing Jaina from the Warbringers animated short

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth is set to arrive this August 14th, bringing with it a renewed focus on the war between the Horde and the Alliance. It's the same song and dance we've seen with just about every expansion so far, but it does seem that Battle for Azeroth will take things a lot further with the new War Mode and some actually relevant conquests.

In order to get everyone up to speed on the two characters that will be leading this conflict, Sylvanas Windrunner and Jaina Proudmoore, Blizzard has once started releasing some rather beautifully animated shorts. The very first one of these videos is simply titled Warbringers: Jaina, and I would highly recommend you give it a look, if for no other reason than the awesome music:

The PC version of Disgaea 5 Complete has been delayed once more, this time to Fall of 2018

The PC version of Disgaea 5 Complete was supposed to launch on May 7th, but was unfortunately delayed due to a major bug. Summer has since then arrived in force and as you're probably aware, Disgaea 5 Complete is still not available on PC. I'm afraid that's going to continue being the case for a few more months as the release date has once again been pushed back, this time until Fall of 2018.

On the positive side, I can tell you there will be a private beta starting in early October. Whether you'll need to pre-order Disgaea 5 in order to get, that I do not know, but at least we'll get a pretty darn good idea of just what the PC port is going to be like.

Vermintide 2 has now received its very first batch of sanctioned mods that can be used on the live servers

Vermintide 2 has had mod support since early June, and has since then managed to fill out its Steam Workshop with a whole bunch mods ranging from quality-of-life fixes to massive gameplay changes. However, while the mods were available and fully playable, you could only actually use them on the modded server. In other words, you couldn't get any loot or cosmetics by playing with mods enabled, and you couldn't really play with random people due to various restrictions. Not an ideal situation, I'm sure you'll agree.

Thankfully, Fatshark has finally begun to whitelist mods, and as such we have now received the very first batch of mods that will fully function on the live servers! Since this is essentially a test for the whole system all of the mods are either quality-of-life changes or cosmetic upgrades, but I would say that they are still a noticeable improvement over the basic game and something I would highly recommend you check out by heading over to the official website.

World of Warcraft devs are looking into the recent complaints about the slow leveling process

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth's pre-patch arrived a couple of days ago, bringing with it a whole bunch of changes. Most notably, it introduced a massive stat-squish in order to curb the inflation of damage and health numbers as they were getting somewhat out of hand. While the patch has successfully managed to do just that, the unfortunate side effect was that the leveling process ended up being even slower than before.

Thankfully, it would appear that Blizzard is well aware of this, as noted during the most recent developer Q&A. According to the Q&A, the WoW team did not intend to make leveling more difficult with the latest batch of changes, and is now actively investigating the issue. No concrete fixes have been announced just yet, but the goal is to make the leveling process feel just as fast as it was before. Personally, I would prefer it if they made it even faster as the 1-110 leveling experience has been incredibly slow since the dungeon changes, but at this point I'm willing to take anything to help speed the whole ordeal up.

Souls-like action-RPG Death's Gambit now has a new trailer showing off everything it has to offer

Death's Gambit official screenshot showing off the main character and logo

Death's Gambit is an upcoming Souls-like RPG that will have you explore a gigantic world and face off against hordes of highly dangerous enemies. In order to survive you will need to learn their attack patterns, avoid their blows, and then strike the moment an opportunity presents itself. Along the way you'll be able to choose from a variety of unique weapons and abilities, wonder across a non-linear world with plenty of secrets, and perhaps most importantly for my tastes, enjoy a rather fetching art style!

If you're wondering how all of that translates into gameplay, you'll find the answers you seek in the recently posted "Features Trailer". The video's fairly short but sweet, so I'd highly recommend you check it out, if for no other reason than the gorgeous visuals. So have a look:

If you've managed to miss the most recent Overwatch free weekend and you're itching for another chance to dive in, you'll be glad to hear that there will be another one running from July 26 to July 30. However, unlike the past few free weekends, this one will only be available for PC!

As far as content is concerned, you'll be able to play with all 28 of the heroes (including the upcoming Wrecking Ball), wonder across all 18 maps, explore all of the various game modes, and naturally, unlock all sorts of cosmetics for your heroes. The only thing that will be locked away from you is the competitive mode, mostly to prevent any sort of griefing that might occur due to the influx of numerous free accounts.
