MTG Arena has now added the ability to duel friends, as well as greatly sped up certain animations

[Update]: Small correction: It appears that the friend list has not yet been added and will come with the upcoming "social features" rework.
After quite a long delay, MTG Arena has now finally added a friend list, as well as the ability to challenge said friends to a duel. So if you ever get tired of the meta and the scores of players that require a full minute to play one land, just challenge a friend to a match and you'll be able to mess around with whatever weird deck you want. It's pretty much what Magic: The Gathering was designed around, so I'm really glad they finally brought it into MTG Arena as well!
Besides the ability to bully your friends, this update has also significantly sped up animations in order to make playing more complex or combo orientated decks actually possible. In other words, you will no longer have to burn the better part of your turn by trying to resolve the stack with cards like Niv-Mizzet or Thousand-Year Storm. Now we just need the ability to automatically resolve certain effects so we won't have to click a million times for each +1/+1 counter put on Ajani's Pridemate for example.
World of Warcraft is celebrating its 14th anniversary with goggles that turn everyone into adorable Corgis

If you're up for feeling very, very old, you might be interested to hear that World of Warcraft is currently celebrating its 14th anniversary! I think the only way I could ever possibly describe these fourteen years would be to quote one of the achievements: "What a long, strange trip it's been!"
However, if you would like to make the world (of Warcraft) even stranger, you might want to head on over to either Orgrimmar or Stormwind in order to purchase one of the new items: Overtuned Corgi Glasses. The glasses are a toy (so all of your characters will be able to use them) that transforms all friendly characters into the 'goodest' boys and girls around, by which I mean into an entire horde of adorable little Corgis! And yes, for extra hilarity, this includes both mounted players and NPCs!

After going through a rather lengthy period of hibernation, the Darksiders series will return once more this November 27th for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 with Fury as the main character. As you might imagine just from that alone, we will be following Fury on her quest to reunite the scattered Horsemen, all the while beating up a wide variety of demons, angels and every critter in between.
If you're wondering what these creatures might look like, as well as what sort of characters you'll get to interact with throughout the campaign, you'll find the answers you seek in the most recent trailer down below. Have a gander, it's not exactly a long one:
Overwatch is soon getting massive Brigitte and Doomfist nerfs, as well as a variety of nice buffs
- By Ash
- in News
While most of Overwatch's heroes are currently well balanced, there are a couple that are an absolute terror to deal with, both in casual and competitive matches. If you've played even a bit of Overwatch in the past few months, chances are you're fully aware of which heroes I'm talking about: Brigitte and Doomfist.
Given how dominant they can be, as well as how infuriating it can be to play against them, it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise to hear that Blizzard will soon be issuing nerfs to both heroes. What might come as a quite a surprise is that unlike the small nerfs that happened in the previous couple of patches, the upcoming changes will be a lot more drastic, especially for Brigitte. Here's what you can expect to see:
After months and months of rumors, the PC version of Sunset Overdrive has now suddenly appeared
- By Ash
- in News
Rumors about the PC version of Sunset Overdrive have been circulating for nearly a year now, though at no point did Microsoft or Insomniac Games ever comment anything about it. Things became really interesting a few weeks ago when it was found out that Sunset Overdrive has been rated by the ESRB, thus leading many to speculate that we would be getting a full announcement in the very near future.
Well, a part of that has now ended up being true. However, instead of just releasing an announcement for the PC version of Sunset Overdrive like many people expected, Insomniac Games have now simply released the full game onto the Windows Store and Steam at a $20 price tag. From what I can tell the multiplayer portion of it appears to be missing, but for the relatively low price of $20 I suppose that's a fair trade-off.
Vermintide 2's all-encompassing "Big Balance Beta" update is set to arrive to the live servers next week

For nearly a month now Fatshark has been experimenting with the Big Balance Beta update on the test servers. For good reason too, because the update has pretty much rebalanced, reworked or just tweaked every single weapon, career, enemy, boss and even map. It is by far the biggest update Vermintide 2 has ever received, and after quite a few rounds of changes, it's also among the very best!
With that in mind, I am very happy to say that Fatshark has now released yet another batch of changes, as well as revealed that the Big Balance Beta's time is quickly coming to an end. If "nothing outlandish happens", it is expected to finally make its way onto the live servers early next week!
The multiplayer-focused Fallout 76 has now arrived, though not without its fair share of problems

- in News
After thousands upon thousands of requests, Bethesda has now finally released a multiplayer-focused version of Fallout - Fallout 76. However, unlike all of its predecessors, Fallout 76 features very little in terms of storytelling or character interaction, choosing to instead orient almost all of its gameplay around combat and base-building. The end result, as I'm sure you're well aware by this point, is an experience that can often feel quite disconnected from the rest of the series, be that for the better or worse.
If you're wondering how all of this translates into gameplay, as well as what the whole premise behind Fallout 76 even is, allow me to share with you the official trailer. It's unfortunately a bit light on gameplay, but given the similarities to Fallout 4 I think you'll be able to get a good idea of what to expect regardless. Have a look:
