[Update #2]: New and improved Disgaea 6 Complete will be heading over to PC this Summer 2022.
[Update]: Nearly a decade since the original version, Disgaea 4 Complete+ has now made its way to PC.
The PC version of Disgaea 5 Complete was originally supposed to launch on May 7th, but was unfortunately delayed due to some sort of major bug. Thankfully, it would appear that the bug has now been fixed as NIS America has come to announce that the new release date has been set for October 22nd.
Perhaps most importantly, NIS America has also revealed that they will be lowering the price by $10, meaning the standard edition will set you back $40, or $30 if you decide to pre-purchase it. You can also grab the "Digital Dood" edition that includes the artbook for $43 (or $33 if you pre-order), which is surprisingly reasonable as far as digital goodies are concerned. Due to the price drop all previous pre-orders have now been fully refunded, however, so if you're still planning on pre-ordering the PC version, you'll need to go and repeat the process once more.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has recently made its way to both PC and consoles with primarily multiplayer focused gameplay

[Update]: The newest Call of Duty game, Black Ops Cold War, has now been unleashed alongside a surprisingly good singleplayer campaign.
If you're a bit behind schedule like I am, you might be interested to hear that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has recently arrived on both PC and consoles. However, unlike the previous entries in the series, Black Ops 4 does not bring with it a singleplayer campaign. Instead, its focus is quite firmly placed on all sorts of multiplayer modes.
Given that the current craze is Battle Royale games, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that the Blackout mode is exactly that. It doesn't offer anything that truly sets it apart from the rest of the competition, but the gameplay is fast-paced and the gunplay is solid, so it's definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of the genre. If you're not exactly sure where you stand, however, allow me to share one of the recent trailers for the Blackout mode. Have a gander:
Hearthstone devs have announced the upcoming October 18th balance changes

Whether your preferred mode of play is Standard or Wild, chances are you'll encounter an overwhelming amount of ramp-based Druid decks on your journey. This, combined with the simple fact that some matchups are incredibly binary, has finally prompted Blizzard to announce a much-needed balance patch.
While I would love to tell you this upcoming October 18th patch will correct all of the problems currently found in Hearthstone, I'm afraid the update is a bit limited in scope. In other words, it will only be changing three cards: Giggling Inventor, Mana Wyrm and Aviana. You'll find all of the details over at the Hearthstone website, but for now here are all of the changes and a brief quote explaining the team's reasoning behind each tweak:

The Resident Evil 2 remake will be coming this January 25th, and much like its predecessor, it seems to be bringing with it a whole host of improvements over the original game. There's the usual stuff like greatly enhanced visuals, better voice acting, support for high-end resolutions and stable 60 FPS, as well as some more interesting changes like significantly modernized movement and combat.
Since trying to explain all of this through words alone is a nearly pointless task, allow me to share with you the recently posted and rather lengthy preview. Have a look as it really is quite good:
Vermintide 2 beta update has brought in numerous quality of life changes and a double XP weekend

After a rather long period of silence, Vermintide 2 has now suddenly been updated with a beta patch that brings with it numerous quality of life improvements, as well as a double XP weekend. The bots are now smarter and easier to control, there is a new Social Wheel to help you communicate on the fly, numerous enemies and weapons have received slight changes, and perhaps most interestingly of all, the much-anticipated Veteran (red) item crafting system has finally manifested itself... though not without some problems.
The way the new Veteran item crafting system works is quite simply - you need to sacrifice five Veteran items in order to create a specific one. A bit expensive, sure, but it's a pretty good way of getting ride of tons of duplicate necklaces and turning them into something that's actually useful. The only problem is that these crafted Veteran items do not come with the fancy blue glow, meaning that they are basically the same thing as your everyday orange items, thus making the whole exercise a bit pointless given the costs involved.
Overwatch Halloween Terror event has arrived alongside some excellent skins and balance changes

After quite a few teasers, Overwatch's third annual Halloween Terror event has now arrived. It brings with it Junkenstein's Revenge as a co-op focused PvE mode, an assortment of new and rather good-looking cosmetics, as well as spookier versions of some of the previous maps. It's all highly enjoyable content, but just don't expect anything too out of the ordinary as this event is fairly similar to the one from last year.
To be fair, that's not exactly true as this year's Halloween Terror has a pretty damn awesome trailer to back it up. Have a look, especially if you're interested in what all of the new cosmetics look like in-game:
After many years in development, the utterly captivating colony sim RimWorld will be releasing this October 17th
- By Ash
- in Indie Games
RimWorld is one of those games that are heavily inspired by Dwarf Fortress, which should immediately let you know what depths of complexity, creativity, strategy and madness lie within. What you might not expect is that the premise is remarkably simple - all you have to do is keep your small band of survivors alive for long enough to construct a rocket with which they can escape the hellhole of a planet they have found themselves on. What could possibly go wrong?
Unsurprisingly, the answer is pretty much everything. Your characters are probably going to go crazy and start beating the ever-living daylight out of each other because they're constantly cooped up in small houses, frequent bandit raids and bizarre random events will leave many of your favorite characters with significant and long-lasting wounds, while harsh environmental conditions will often force your survivors to resort to some... creative methods in order to find stuff to eat.
